Tam &Toby do Europe ...Take two

Fairly certain Tam said the vet told him they were not feeding Milo, wouldn't the cone be to stop Milo getting at food rather than anything else.
I think that was the case bit can't remember, but they had me put it on him when we first got there.

Anywaaaaay ....the things we do for love

Milo is finally off the hook.....

I nearly vomitted .......that was ridiculously smelly but good tip on the bag and water Val that was easier than the other option

Weird thing is when he swallowed it there was line attached that's how I knew he had as the line was hanging out mouth

But no sign of line with the hook or in the poo.

Stomach acid must be strong stuff

A dog with a cone (Buster Collar) can eat, drink, chew bones etc. It is purely to stop them worrying an op place & pulling stitches out!

Not with a head the size of milos lol he couldn't reach anything with that cone on lol .

Did the vet cut it off? I didn't think it was there in the cone picture, unless it was tucked under it?

Glad to see that all is OK now and hope Jade's is nothing to be concerned over. Fingers x'd
It was still attached when I left him but even if the vet had cut the bit that was hanging out his mouth he couldn't have got the bit attached to hook in his stomach so stomach acid must have dissolved it.

So what a bloody morning I've had , first had to poke round poo to find hook, we then popped in to vet to tell them I had got it and she gave him a once over to make sure ok, we then left and jade decided to stop in the middle of the road and do a poo ....I bent down to pick it up and my raybans fell off in to the poo . So I had to put them in a poo bag till we got back to the van , stopped to fill up water tank as I ran out of water last night then headed to armaceo de pero as there's a pingo dolce with motorhome spaces .....get there and 4 out of 5 spaces filled with cars a van and a jet2 holidays bus .....so pingo dolce you lost approx €40 from me.

I then headed out to albufera and coming round a round About this idiot cut his lane and hit my van

He just kept driving and I had to keep blasting the horn to get him to stop , he staggered up to my window waving arms saying what what , I said you hit my van and there's no way you didn't feel it ....he says no speak English, I got out and basically he's hit the near side wheel arch that was already damaged but he's completely knackered it now...he kept patting my shoulder and trying to shake my hand saying it's ok it's ok and making signals as of to say it's no problem forget it , his wife then gets out and starts telling him to come in the car....which he did and drove off leaving me standing there I'm pretty sure he was drunk.

The arch was already visibly damaged so not sure it's worth pursuing it but I'm really pissed off at his attitude ...

So I'm now back in albufera

This is clearly not your week! I suggest you get your shopping done then find somewhere quiet to settle down and recover for a few days....

I agree with keades in the above post, it's time to find a quiet spot in the countryside, though preferably not near a lake (as lakes have fishermen).
Both you and the dogs need to relax and unwind, and possibly ponder on whether it's karma and the universe trying to tell you something. :( (y)

Sod that lol ive a couple of days to waste before van goes in for a service and cambelt change

Still no idea what I'm gonna do for a full day with the dogs in villamoura while the vans in the garage

This is true yet when they eat grass etc they have stringy poo ...
Dogs eat grass with the purpose of making themselves sick, they instinctively know to do this, when mine eat grass they are almost immediately sick.
I would question whether their "stringy poo" was linked to their having eaten grass- unless an earlier attempt to induce vomiting had failed?
That too could be "a thought for the day ". :oops:

Kerry eats grass because it aids her digestion, gives her a bit of roughage... especially if the bone content of her mince is a bit too high.
Some dogs eat grass because they like grass :giggle:!
Kerry is very choosy over type of grass she likes
I’m glad I’ve finished my lunch????

My knowledge of the area is zero!
Is there a large shopping centre? - if so it wI'll be airconditioned you, complete with dogs, and water supply and a good book might be able to hang out there for the day?

Sorry Anthea but it's known that we like a good "loo" thread on this forum, this is just a slight variation.
