Tam &Toby do Europe ...Take two

Sadly this area ( tarifa ) is full of disgusting filthy motorhomers.

Drove round to the service point in the cheap fuel station this morning. Topped up my diesel , emptied and filled with water at the services and decided to give Toby a wash.
While I'm doing that a guy pulls in with a converted sprinter van . I didn't see him as the van blocked him bit he drove away and the grate for emptying your grey water was covered in shit and toilet paper...and I don't mean a little but like 6 inches high and completely covering the grate ....there's a proper toilet disposal bin less than 2 foot from the grate. The attendant had to come out and stand there for 5 minutes with a hose trying to force it down the drain.

3 campers parked close by and I've never seen so much rubbish lying around them...black bags stacked outside the vans ...looks like longtermers or gipsies


Then I drive 2 km to a spot along the beach that's described as the only place you are legally allowed to park in the nature park ....there's about 30 vans here scattered about.

First thing I see as I drive in a German couple emptying a cassette in to the bushes she's pouring water in for him to rinse as he stands there in elbow high gloves .....I stopped right next to him and made am arms in the air gesture while shaking my head he just flicked his hand at me and carried on.
I shouted out the window there's a free disposal point less than 5 minutes drive away you dirty bastard. And his wife shouts something in German at me.

So I'm not stopping here the dirty buggers.

Oh Please! ...I don't believe it but I'm typing this and another bugger this time a Spanish van has just done the same thing

No wonder you can't park around the national park ....

Such things make one despair of humanity.
Why do we have to desecrate everything we come into contact with?
No wonder we motorhomes are becoming more and more unwelcome (n)

Total SH1TES.............Unfortunately for me I have a face thats seems to look like exactly what I am thinking,,,,,and the perpetrators of such bad actions what to have a go at ME.:mad:
If I was as BIG as you I think I would be fighting a lot.?‍♂️
I also cannot play cards.... I definately do NOT have a poker face.

To be honest if that was in the UK I'd have been out the van and in the guys face ...but I don't want arrested in Spain when my Spanish isn't fantastic.

The attendant in services spoke good English and while he was hosing that down I said to him I thought it was disgusting and selfish and that he shouldn't have to do that

He says it happens nearly every day because people rush in quick in case they have to pay

But emptying is free you only pay for water €2 but free if you are buying diesel
 
Anyway ...Stunning beach at bolonia but of course it's mobbed today ...lovely walk up through the pine forest to the huge sand dune ...the smell of the pines is lovely.
Will be nice when all the people piss off.

I forgot how much of a pain it is to find overnight spots around this area , police are a pain in the arse and they go around chasing folk so I need to think where I'm gonna stay tonight pretty much all along this bit of coast to cadiz is hard to find places. Which is a shame as there are a few nice towns along this bit

Watched a French man wash his cassette out with the drinking water hose on a site in Spain,,hose right down the neck of the cassette and then he filled his water tank..I wont use a drinking supply if its close to black waste disposal..Dirty Bastards...BUSBY.

Yeah I've seen folk doing that too.

I never use their hose I remove it and use my own

Well done you , these people need to be confronted or it will never stop , I’d have got out my van , made sure he seen me taking pictures or him emptying his cassette & his MH reg number , then walked away repeatedly shouting going to the police , that might make him think twice about doing it again or even better he might of felt he had to move on in case the police find him ?

I agree with all of you about the dirty things they do, but having said that we have just had 3 weeks going through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and Austria and saw nothing like that, although it was mainly sites we stayed at as didn't fancy or find any suitable stops. We also have a dog so bit fussy where we stop as she like long walks and seeing other people, she's a people watcher. The worst we saw was men pidd***g in the bushes at pic-nic stops in full site of other pic-nic people. We also got to go over the Grosslockner pass this year, fantastic.
 
When using fresh water points we always disinfect the Tap with Detol wipes, use our own hose, same when I use site toilets , always disinfect door handles when entering building ! and door handles to toilet , toilet lever and seat ! ( just in case somebody reads this I don't use the same wipe as the one we use for fresh water taps !! )

Do you do the same in pubs,restaurants and public places in UK? I think you’ve got shares in the company that makes the wipes.

I dont use wipes, I just wash my hands, use the dryer, then normally my pulled down sleeve comes in handy for opening the loo exit door, unless its busy, then I let someone else open the door;)
Proves to be very difficult if wearing only a tee shirt however.
Why oh why do most loos in public places have doors that only open inwards, they should be two way I reckon. I also like the places with no entrance/exit doors just a wall to screen the inside of the loo, much more sensible & hygienic, but takes up more room I guess.

Not only Johnny Foreigner, I say a bloke on a CS site dump his black in the correct place but then walked 20yards to the drinking water tap to swill his box out, although there was a tap for that just 1 yard from emptying place. I said that’s not right and he denied there being a tap near dump. My wife then saw him go back into his van for a sandwich with no time to wash his hands. Yuk
 
Lost bloody milo this morning ....it should I say he lost us.
Walking along the beach jade and him running about playing ...I stopped to take a photo at one point and then kept walking gave them a whistle and jade comes running past ....no milo ...I'm looking around shouting and whistling on him and he's nowhere to be seen. Of course his colour doesn't help on sand but you can see pretty far and it's like he's been beamed up to space.... guy walking along beach says is it a wee brown dog...yeah

Oh he's away back there heading in that direction...


So I'm brisk walking back along beach still whistling etc..finally clap eyes on him away in the distance ...he's stopped looking back and then trotts of in the other direction...

Must have taken 2km to finally get him and he didn't recognise me till I was about 200 metres away .. then he comes running

He's a wee nightmare
