I dunno like ...it looks like he thinks staying on that aire made his trailer rusty

Give the poor French guy a break, you anti French person, you. He stayed on this aire for a night, and a year later his trailer is rusty. What else could possibly have caused it?

Depends on which months you are comparing. In the Summer in Australia there is no way that you can wear boots! I know as I have also been there staying with my cousin in Victoria and she has been here in Valencia with me in Summer and said it was much hotter here than in Australia!
Me wearing boots in summer on Boxing Day , (summer) it was pretty warm

Sorry for the late response been near Meriden for a week

Arrived In cullera this morning ...It's a bit different from it was in February.

A lot of the campers have been cleared out and a fence put up, a few wee beach bars being opened up, there's a small patch still useable by campers behind the tower blocks.

Must agree the places you have been since returning to Spain don't look any better than you could have found in France.

I'm not parked there I was jist posting the photo as it's a popular place with motorhomes normally but looks like they've cleared it out.

Well each to there own , as stated above I'm not actually parked there I just posted the pic as it's a popular place.

But everywhere I've stopped over since getting back in to Spain I've liked and I don't like France.

Not to mention the fact the weather is ten times better .

I've a friend just arrived in Paris today he sent me this pic ....

It's 28° and sun splitting the skys here

Can't wait to get back over. The weather and the fact that if I spend another day living with my mum I'm going to go stir crazy.

Getting a bit of repair work done to the old van then heading up to Beni for a few days if you fancy Tam :giggler:

You have to laugh at these chancers eh

Although I've wasted over an hour and 4 phone calls on these idiots , 1 to dvla ( which is like the secret service to get a hold of) and 3 calls to these clowns.

So my mum text me this morning as this letter arrived at hers adressed to me. It gives little information to be honest , no registration number , no make it model etc in fact the only detail I could find was that little snipet at the very bottom on the back page under " breakdown of your outstanding arrears " that mentions Morrison's carpark falkirk 09/01/19

But as it's my mum's address and I don't want credit problems etc on her address I phoned them to find out what's going on.

So it turns out the cheap car I had bought when back at mum's had been parked on this place , now I know I haven't been there and I knew I sold the car in January but couldn't remember the date.
The rather rude woman on the phone tells me the offence date was the 8th and not the 9th but I told her either way it wasn't me and to stop sending letters as THIS was the first that had been received , it gave no vehicle details etc and that surely there had to be previous letters sent prior to this one, she claimed there had been and if I didn't pay this today I'd be taken to court lol .....I said good luck with that and hung up.

So I phoned DVLA and as I suspected I sold the car on the 8th of January, it was a polish guy who bought it and I vaguely remember him staying in Stirling or Glasgow etc

So I phoned back to this company that sent the letter ...this time it's a guy.

I told him I'd phoned 20 minutes before and that is since phoned dvla who had confirmed I sold car on the 8th and notified them the same day , so I figured it must be the new keeper that had the parking offence and that dvla had stated they would have provided both names to the parking company . I asked him why this was a final demand and here's where the surprise lies.

Instead of telling me the same as the woman had 20 minutes before ...HE confirmed the offence date was the 9th of January 24 hours after I'd sold it and that this was indeed the first letter that had been sent out.

He couldn't or wouldn't tell me why they would send it to me and not the obvious new keeper.

And he declined from answering why the woman would tell me it was the 8th and not the 9th.

Seems a bit weird to me but looks like this company is at it .

What do you think?

Hmmm I'm not sure about beni lol it looks a dive to me ...I've 3 weeks before my mate Jack comes over from Ireland for a week . I'm collecting him at Malaga on 19th

Seems like a chancer bunch , using plausible deniability if caught out . Wonder how many times it pays a dividend.
Would be possibly section 16 theft act . but little chance of detection as unlikely Plod would do a suitable level of investigation these days .

Yeah I know you're not the biggest fan of Benidorm. I'm stopping by for a few days though, it would feel rude to drive by and not visit

Be good to have your pal with you for a bit.

Depending what date your heading up I can probably meet up with you somewhere on route for a day or two.

Where is your van ? Still in Seville?

No I made it up to Alicante, it's in storage beside the airport. Flying out on Sunday to carry on the adventure. Back still giving me serious jip though.

I'll give you a shout when I get over and get the van sorted.

Re: Stirling Park, Final Demand.

If you have their e-mail address I would send an e-mail based on what you have written here.

I would add that you, as no longer the 'Keeper on 9th Jan, do not expect to hear from them again.

Further, that as you are not currently at that address and your Mother is instructed to open your post, that such correspondence is worrying to a sick lady and that therefore any further correspondence will be considered 'Harassment' and/or 'Nuisance' and reported to the Police.

Knocking sound coming every time I make a right turn so I'm thinking CV joint maybe? I've booked in to a place that was recommended somewhere on here a while back - AJL Mechanics @ Villajoyosa

Fling the ticket in the bin ,that’s what I’ve done many times , they will eventually give up , besides not being your ticket , it’s not enforceable in Scotland anyway

Culler a probably tolerates 100s of FLTs during the winter giving income to the town.
I drove through in March this year and I found the site a bit of an eye sore.
Like you Tam I prefer the more picturesque parking (y)
