Forgot just how much fun that cliff road coming in here was , this van is not great at all those hairpin bends , it wallows about like an elephant on a skateboard. And the satnag brought me through a few very narrow streets in the town , I can see this trip being eventfull.

Have you been to Peniscola and looked at the castle? Well worth a visit.

Yes I did that on my first trip to spain , I found a nice park up in peniscola aswell along the seafront , not sure I'll be there this time though unless on the return trip as I want to get down to alicante region fairly quick

Lovely and sunny earlier almost warm enough for just a t shirt but not quite, I'm in tarragona now though and its cloudy now . It was bloody freezing first thing this morning though , frost on the grass in gerona

Here's the photos from sitges, spotted a vario parked up and the couple were outside with their dog so stopped for a natter , they are from Sweden, the Registration threw me because its very similar to ours

Sorry but the vets got a bit complicated this afternoon & I forgot to ask about the titre! They all spoke very good English though, & answered their email promptly.

Judging by the multi million euro mansions around here I think theres probably a few stars live here, it is a nice wee town though from what I remember, but theyve stopped the parking where I was the last time I was here so we are a few streets back from the seafront , still it's a nice walk. Good plan, we were broken into overnight on the side street in Sitges. Was our second night there so that might have been a mistake, giving them time to check us out.

Yes I remember that , I stayed 2 or 3 nights my first time there with the frankia, I was parked on the seafront but that's now a cycle path so no longer allowed to park there.

When we bought a bus like that vario with all the windows, when you sat there it was like you were in goldfish bowl, with anyone looking could see exactly what you were doing.
Great views out though!

I'm a happy bunny myself today, I took that wee van up to a mate of mine who owns a scrap yard and we stuck her on his weighbridge almost empty and she weighed in at 2655kg then I took her home loaded all the crap in including 2 electric bikes, 2 black bags full of clothes and loads of tins of food and packets of all sorts then deck chairs hose, cables etc half full water & diesel tanks practically everything you'd need for going away and she weighed in at 2960kg, the only things missing was the Mrs & the wee dogs which only weigh about 60kg in total so I'm just over the 3.0 ton which leaves me still near 500kg, incredible payload for a wee van I reckon and just shows you the shite I pulled about everywhere in my Elegance she was always 5 ton all day long!

I think I was confusing tarragona with somewhere else as I thought it was a nicer town than it seemed this morning , we had a walk around the old town but it was dead, and I was sure there were more nice old buildings than I could find today but never mind ... pics below .

There seemed to be an obsession with bums going on but I never saw any sadly

We then headed off and to castello de la plana just south of benacassim. The wee airport parking that's usually full of motorhomes was absolutely jam packed mostly with huge German behemoths, morelos and concordes galore most with trailers with cars , bikes off road buggies you name it and a few who seem to be storing up their pee in 8 litre water bottles all lined up outside their vans ...we drove through and on to the official aire so I could use the services. We are parked there now having lunch and will have a walk along the beach ...Will most likely push on after that to valencia for tonight.


Got stuck behind this annoying French barber in a morello for miles this morning doing 40 on a 60mph road causing mayhem behind us, the swine kept right out to almost the centre line too so I had several failed attempts to pass him . He got the bird when I finally did the feckin eedjit

That's so that when they go out they 'block' the parking space so no-one else can use it ... if I saw that and was desperate for a spot I'd move the ruddy things!

We use a couple of vets, the best one and cheapest is a Romanian mobile vet Nico that uses various practices if need be, we used him to take a couple of lumps off our Izzy and he did that on our patio while she was on Janie's lap, where as the other vet wanted to keep her in overnight and put her under, we didn't want that and she is 13.

He has been in Spain about 20 years, and speaks English get in touch and see what he says. Bob.

Sorry about the delay Nico did phone the following day but he was very busy and said he would let us know, he just got back to us, he said its 10 working days normally (6 & 8 are public holidays) and if all is well you can go to Morroco but you cannot return to Spain until after 3 months from the date test, the cost is €150 / €160 each dog, he is a nice vet and very caring about animals.
Nico +34680929781 as I said he is mobile and would meet you anywhere between Javea and Calpe . Bob.


The other vet we use here in Javea is Rosa and always more expensive €200 per dog.

Surely that is 3 months from when the rabies shot was administered.

It's not the Rabies shot, they already have that it's the blood tests titer test. Bob.

We are now in cullera after a nightmare in the centre of valencia that I had planned to avoid but this bloody satnav is out to get me , parked in a spot closer to the town and only 6 Van's here so not in the usual ghetto spot .

Yes I know that. But the process I am aware of is,
28 days from the rabies shot to take the blood test. Then a further 2 months before being allowed back into the country requiring the titre test.
So 3 months from initial vaccination. Not 3 months from the test date.
But hey what do I know.

That would be better if that was the case, I need the tests done anyway for future trips but I hadn't planned to spend 3 months in Morocco, 6 weeks to 2 months at most i had planned but will see.

Tam, our previous spaniel required the titre test when his was done when the same rules applied to uk.
As that was the then requirements.
Then they dropped the blood test for eu entry from uk.
As far as I am aware those requirements have not changed for entry to the eu from a non approved country
