Come on man😮 your not so tough after all……you were hiding under the bedsheets😮😂😂not that l’d blame you.

I don't fill it 🤣
tinkerbell asks a reasonable question. When we tour in countries that don’t have public dump stations or Elsan points we have used public toilets. There will be those who frown on this practice, but our view is that if done correctly and if no mess is left behind we are making use of a facility that was designed for human waste. I must add that we are always discreet and very often we leave the toilet cleaner than when we arrived.

I think you just have to be careful about dumping grey water where there's a septic tank because it destroys the bacteria that's growing happily away in the tank. Or so I've been told.

It is a reasonable question. But I could only answer the truth and In my case If I'm somewhere that doesn't have cassette emptying facilities I just opt not to use it. I use the separating method, liquids get put in drains or hedges , solids get bagged and binned with the dog waste .
I don't want to rely on trying to find public toilets and having thr stress of a full cassette and no where to empty . I find doing what I'm doing to be easy and stressless.

Black water I'm assuming you meant ,

Grey is jist shower and washing up etc , which I just let down a road drain or on to grass

Not wishing to start a toilet thread, but if your cassette has no harmful chemicals then it won’t harm the tank.
That being said Septic tanks are sized on a house to the amount of people that can in theory live in the house.

In my experience you can go for years before it needs to be emptied, obviously we had a way too big tank for the size of our house x 2 people :giggle: plus I am a lady I don't poo, shit or crap:ROFLMAO:

Having lived in a House with a Septic Tank the only thing to avoid are strong chemicals, bleach in particular. L followed this practice for fifteen years in a five bedroom house and it functioned brilliantly.

Song of the day from a movie I watched last night which I also recommend " the accountant "
Good tune

Not many pics today, we had another walk around Glendalough this morning then drove to wicklow , parked up had lunch and a walk along the beach front .

Not a very nice spot or town really so then drove up to greystones and parked up by the sea and had another walk along the coast. Cold again but dry and mostly sunny

In Dublin today

Meh.

Don't like it

Weather was diabolical this morning sideways rain and wind but thankfully dried up around 12 so we had a walk around Dublin Bay which I'd very industrialised and not pretty , we are on the outskirts quite near the port as there's not many places to park around the city . But the city just looks like a maze of busy streets, high rise buildings ,noise etc . Tomorrow I plan to find the decathlon store and then we might try and visit howth on the other side of the port but will see how it goes. Ready to leave now lol , its cold damp and I'm bored.

Used to be able to park on the pier at Howth and a easy train in to Dublin centre,

There's parking at the pier in howth but not sure if I can get in there I'll look tomorrow. Don't think I want to go in to the centre though. Nothing really of interest

It’s going to follow you for some time, the weather has been horrendous for days in the north of Spain and the south of France, moved today from Biarritz to Bergerac and the amount of cold water falling out of the sky beggars believe, I heard from friends in Competa that the weather has finally changed in Andalusia too, I think you need to take the ferry to the canaries lol😱😇😎😆

The weather is pretty dire here today it has been heavy rain all day, really depressing and I am sitting by a log fire I really feel for you Tam being in the van and on the road while it's like this.

Didn't think you would like Dublin Tam although we had a great weekend there just past at the rugby but everything's nice when your staying in a hotel lol
If you don't get parked at Howth and are stuck head on to Malahide its just up the road a bit and when you come into it pass the train station and head out towards the Grand Hotel ( sea & beach will be on your left) once clear of the town there's lots of parking either on street beside the green park area or there's carparks too most are free at night but not 100% sure if there's height barriers but you should get parked along there it's a good mile or 2 of promenade

That's the Grand hotel on the right and the sea parks etc on the left all those spaces can be parked in and will be dead quiet at night

Yeah to be honest I didn't think I'd like it either, city breaks etc was never my thing , when I went on holidays it was to beach or island locations , I like charming wee towns or historic centres etc , the hustle and bustle of cities freaks me out at times. I suppose for nightlife etc I could see the appeal but otherwise I don't get the attraction.

I'll find somewhere tomorrow no probs , my ferry isn't till 8pm Wednesday night so even if I'm a bit out of the city it won't matter.
