Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Ref Ebay, what you could've done is change your address before buying then it would be your normal address they'd be shipped to (ie Lenny's).

Other alternative was to get Lenny to buy them for you! :giggle:

I regularly change delivery address as a one off to send stuff to grandkids. It may ask do you want to use the new address permanently so I just click no

Big News! Morocco Insurance Alert - a game changer!

Calling all Morocco lovers! Up until now we have all been frustrated that the only cover we can get for our vehicles is the 3rd Party option at the Moroccan border.

Well call me persistent - I decided to give it one more push. I spoke to BIBA (British Insurance Broker Association) and asked their advice about anyone out there offering a temporary cover. They put me in touch with Sterling (formerly HIC) who seem to offer a range of bespoke products not offered by the other big players. After a week of to'ing and fro'ing yesterday I got a quote that had come back from the underwriters offering us a comprehensive policy for either two or three months. Yes you read it right COMPREHENSIVE!

A little dubious I spoke to them again today to be sure that the paperwork was right and they have confirmed that Morocco is covered under this policy offered by Trinity Insurance. They will send a Green Card to that effect. The only thing not covered is the windscreen. Now it's not cheap! For two months we have been quoted £757.86 and for three £934.82. Although it is comprehensive and could make a huge difference to those who want to extend their winter and Schengen Shuffle travel.

I hope this might be useful for some of you out there. If you are interested then give Sterling a call on 0344 381 9990.

Hope it helps you and any other travellers

Carol

Ach I'm a way passed cork now tae be sure. I'm closer to Dublin. Think the wicklow national park will be our next stops .

I have not been able to keep track of all your exploits Northernraider Tam.
So have you kissed the Blarney Stone yet? 🙄
He'd never pay to go in there!

I climbed up there a few months ago while visiting son. Totally freaked out when I got halfway up that tight spiral staircase but there's no turning round 😲 didn't kiss the stone, couldn't wait to get back on terra firma. Couldn't even stay up there to take in the views

Great photos as always Tam

You've not missed owt Tam, it's just a way to get tourists to part with their cash ... and the thought of kissing a stone which everyone else has snogged doesn't exactly appeal!

I have never tasted Guinness even when I was last in Ireland my niece gave me a four pack of Guinness Cold Brew Coffee Beer it's still sitting in the fridge over a month later!! She says it is delicious though.

After picking up a bit of shopping in lidl this morning ( can't wait to get an asda in wales/England) we headed in to wicklow national park ... refused to pay the €15 they want to park a camper in the Glendalough visitor centre carpark even if you're not staying over . Car price is €4 so after a bit of driving around i managed to squeeze the van in between 2 parked cars outside the Glendalough Hotel carpark on the main road , had a walk round the old cathedral ruins etc and along to the Lough and pull an ass waterfall. It's been very cold today , hat and gloves weather , rain stayed off thankfully but its on now . Its a fairly quiet wee village so I imagine the road will be quiet later so I'm just going to stay here tonight as not many options around that aren't very exposed, it's sheltered here at least and nice walk in the morning then I think ill head back to.the coast around wicklow .

Ela and jade did the driving and navigating today I just sat in the back.
