It was this

But as usual they don't give all the info till you do more research.

But doesn't matter which crossing I do it's the same on them all .
It looks as though they do allow dogs on board. I saw two foot passengers this morning, with dogs. One dog was the size of a German Shepherd, so they must have some big cages.
Our dog stayed in the van and was completely OK.

It was a pleasure to meet up yesterday in Killarney National Park, during quite a pleasant break in the weather. I hope that the lunch went some way to counter-balance all the cranks and head-bangers that you have met along the way!:giggle:

You're right.....you did talk loads !!...but always interesting and amusing. A good conversationalist I'd say, which is good, as I often can't find more than two words to put together, unless of course I hit on a "hot topic' or one of my enthusiasms, in which case you could get an unwanted earful or two!!
Seriously, it was fun to meet yourself and the dogs and I did get my spake in sideways too. Maybe we meet again somewhere down the road, if I ever get on the road!
The weather has taken a turn for the better so you should have a good time down the Beara peninsula. There is a very interesting Tibetan Buddhist centre in a dramatic setting over the ocean on this side of Castletown. The access road is narrow & it might be busy at the weekend, but might be worth a look.
As I said to yourself, I think you and the other people on fun (Lenny et al.) are like public service broadcasters for consumers like myself, with loads of great photos, information and entertainment.
Wishing you a great and enjoyable onward trip!

So we left kilarney this morning, back through the national park and on to kenmare where we had a walk around and had our lunch . I then decided after scouring the spots on park4night around the next peninsula to just skip a bit. There didn't seem to be much of interest to we just crossed the caha pass to glengarriff and we are parked up here for the night at the wee ferry pier

Gina.

Well I'm sat here in bantry looking at park4night for the next 2 wee peninsula, sheep's head and mizen head , most of the spots have no overnight parking signs or height barriers and are wee narrow roads in exposed places and I'm looking at the weather and thinking do I really want to waste the diesel driving out there to take one or 2 pics of a lighthouse in the rain only to then drive back or get blown about like mad in a layby. Can't say the thought is exciting me so I'm thinking I might skip those peninsulas too and just head towards skibereen and see what I see on route.

Aye the pics do look like that but it was a proper cottage and the pick up was cool
I remember that cottage when it was still inhabited. It was plastered and painted white. An old man lived there. The door was always open in every season whenever I passed there, and the bike was always exactly where it is now shown..

Tam, just spotted this in classifieds, is it of interest to you?
