Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Thanks for that Tam… Yes I’ve seen it and spoke to the seller, it needs a fair bit of welding done, but I’m tempted and I’m watching it..🤔😎
Some extra windows & rooflights,, "de-sauna-fy" the interior (which could just be paint) and that could be a great van! There can't be many that come up with a lift & suitable wheelchair layout already in place, plus are already automatic.

Beautiful sunny day today which was totally unexpected ...its gorgeous and a cracking day for a drive through the doolough valley which is breathtakingly beautiful if tainted by a very sad past .

Pictures to come later ...just having lunch at aasleagh falls . Another beautiful spot
Your heading into Connemara country now 😉

Just smiffy

Saw this and thought of you

It will mostly be cosmetic welding same as the one I have. They very very rarely need structural work done thankfully. But a lot of van for that money.. probably a bit movement on price too

I’ve also asked the seller what engine it has in it but they haven’t come back to me yet… have you any ideas..?

As far as my research goes it’s either a 2.2 or a 4.2…😱

I really like the wood look inside , a cosy cabin feel and it has plenty space too and a bloody woodburner of which I am wel jel.

Its a 4250cc same as the one I had before but its a 6 tonner . My new one is a 3.9

But don't panic it gets the same mpg as a 2.8 fiat ducato

The seller is a bit of a plonker , half the technical details they have listed is for a 2010 sym scooter 125cc

The vario is a 2007 , 4250cc . It may or may not be automatic as that too might be regarding the 125cc scooter so that needs clarified

Its a 6 tonne , 126bhp .

This is depicted by the 613 badge , the first number is the weight , 6 meaning 6 tonne , 8 = 7.5t , 7 =6.5t , 5 =5tonne .

the other 2 are the bhp , 13 = 126nhp , 15 = 146bhp , 14= 136bhp and so on

So here's the first load of pics ...this is doolough valley , its gorgeous but sad history ..you can read it on the info boards in the pics

Spotted a fairly recent wreck on the way out...do hope they're ok . Not sure what that is they had on the roof

Makes you ashamed to be British when you read of such inhuman behaviour from those that were obviously living comfortably.
But nothing will alter the historical fact that colonial powers care very little if at all about those supposedly under their care.
It happened just like slavery and all the other atrocities but there is nothing we can do today that will change the facts and hopefully we will remember.

Tam, I know that road well, be careful if you drive it at night, the sheep lay on the black tarmac for warmth. The white ones are a easy to spot……… 😳

And then we drove the connemara loop from leenaun to letterfrack and I'm parked up on the access road to connemara national park , where I hope to stay till Sunday, so we can walk in the park . The carpark is officially no overnights but there's several reviews on park4night about staying on the wee access road which is actually more level and its in the sunshine so I'm hoping it's no hassle parking here. These are a few pics I took on the drive here after the falls .

I never drive at night anyway unless I really had to .

Aye its sad , the thing is we keep hoping things will change but they don't really . These days it's food banks instead because those in power serve the rich and never the poor . And that seems to be the way worldwide to be honest.

They've put automatic in the title, so I reckon it is. Isn't it a floor mounted lever if it's a manual in those? One shot taken from the back shows the floor is completely clear next to the driver's seat.

Beautiful pictures as always. Very reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands, do you think?

Tam pay no attention to any of them signs you see about the place, none of us ever do 😂
I ignore ones that aren't usually council ones as its often just busy bodies . But if they have byelaws, acts etc quoted I often just find somewhere else.

But I think I'll be OK here for 2 nights

It's a wee shame everyone that meets her comments on her teeth ,we've even had the odd person pull their kids or dogs away saying " oh she's baring her teeth " she's a wee cutey and just smiling and the most sociable out the 3 of them.
we used to have a Terrier cross with an undershot jaw that made him look like that but he tended to run a mile from anyone!
