Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Such a horrendously sad time but you will get comfort from having been there for your mum. I hope for all your sakes that she is kept pain free and peaceful. Xx

Tam even though you may not realise you are being so brave and totally supportive and in the future when you look back you will be pleased you fought through the heartache and showed her so much love and care, I'm sure it's a huge comfort to her now.
Sending hugs your doing everything you can.

Oh Tam, this is so hard for you and you are so brave staying with your mum and being with her just when she needs you most. Hopefully the nurses will know when she is approaching her final hours and will tell you to let your siblings know. Really feeling for you … so many of us have been there and feel your pain.

Sister phoned me at 5.20 this morning needing help , mum was really anxious and trying to climb out of bed crying help me help me , she wanted to go to the toilet but can't get her out of bed now so we had called for the nurses to come in , she's got a catheter in now and they've given her some pain relief by injection so she's settled now and sleeping thankfully , but big chances again from yesterday the breathing now sounds like a coffee pot and is very rapid and shallow, her colour has gone too , the palliative nurses will be in mid morning so will see what they say but I'm just grateful she's settled again.

I’m constantly thinking of you and your mum Tam. I’ve been where you are. I found it was nice to rub hand cream on and brush hair, some physical contact made a difference and just sit talking about old times.
I hope Mum stays comfortable and settled. Big hugs to you all. Xx

Don't stay strong Tam - let it out. All this crap about blokes showing no emotion does us no favours at all. Take Care, and keep on talking to her, you never know what she's aware of.

This has to come as a relief for you Tam. Don’t think about your Mum as the woman you have nursed so tenderly for the last three weeks or so. Remember her as the mother you loved when she was fit and well.
You have our deepest sympathy.
