When tomorrow starts without me, try to understand
That an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand.
The angel said my place was ready, in heaven far above
And that I would have to leave behind all those I dearly love
But when I walked through heavens gates I felt so much at home
for God looked down, smiled at me and told me Welcome Home
So when tomorrow starts without me don’t think we’re far apart,
for every time you think of me I’m right there in your heart

Very sad to hear your news. Condolences to you and your brother and sister. You couldn't have done more for her, and I feel sure she knew that. Be open to grief, the happy memories will come back.
I bet the dogs will give you comfort. My spaniel slept on my bed for weeks after my husband died, she never did it before, and went back to her own bed afterwards.
You are in my thoughts.

Sending a hug your way! You did everything you could, & she knew how much you loved her. Don’t bottle anything up now & in the next few weeks. Feel free to tell us all more about your lovely mum! She is never gone as long as she is remembered!
 
Not really been around much lately so only found out when another member told me.

Awk Tam so sorry to hear about your mum mate, I know how much she meant to you from our chats on the road together, but you'll be back big yin the aul girl wouldn't want it any other way and remember.
Death leaves a heartache no one can ever heal, but love leaves you memories no one can ever steal
 
Condolences, I don't think you need to beat yourself up that you were not with her at the very end. Our friend sat with his wife for hours, stepped out of the room for a few minutes and she went. The nurse had not long left and came straight back and said it isn't unusual for someone to die just at the time when they are alone

So sorry Tam, I feel your pain l lost my mum in march this year and it's still very raw. Condolences to you and your family.
 
It is difficult to express the depths of our sorrow for you Tam, but know that you are in all our hearts. Be grateful for all the good times you shared, and do not reproach yourself, you did all that was required of you.

Your mum slipped quietly away not wanting to upset you, her physical presence has gone but she will remain in your heart forever.
