Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Not a fan of automatics I prefer manual boxes. The only auto I liked was my passat cc as it had the dsg box , smoothest fastest changing autobox I've had
I had a 1600GXL automatic on private hire. The only automatic in the city. The other owner drivers thought I was mad. I was doing 1500 miles a week around the city Fantastic car, economical and so much less effort to drive than a manual....... loved it

Tam, Puddleduck started a thread when she was doing probate for her Dad which unfortunately you can't see as it's in the U-shaped lounge, it's 9 pages long, do you want me to do you a copy of it so you can peruse it as there's likely some info in there that would be useful to you?

No idea how you managed that with the LPA as they are invalid as soon as the donor passes away, in your case your Dad. The only thing that gives you any 'authority' is a legal will.
yes ,you are right. I had the old type an "enduring power of attorney" which only had to be registered when needed. Which I did & continued to use until Dad died. As I was executor the banks & others had no problem moving from one to the other.

Not at the minute but thanks for the offer. As far as I know the house was put in to a trust by mum back in 2018 when she was in the hospital for months. It was to avoid the government selling it had she required fulltime care in a home. So I know that her solicitor has all that in place and the trust needs to be dissolved etc before the estate can be settled. There won't be inheritance tax etc as it's valued around £170k there is a copy of her will here I found today when moving some furniture so I'll have a read through it when I get the chance.

I liked the kadet , I had a chevette which was similar but different front, had a couple of vivas too and a manta

Just to get back to lighter subjects.

Had a MK3 Cortina I thought it was an awful car, auto gearbox was shite, handled like a barge and would change lanes on the motorway on its own.
One of the worst cars I've had.
Wasn't that the appeal? :ROFLMAO:

Did you ever have a Citroen?………………😂
Yes I've had a few citroens but not many , an ax and 2 bx .... I think its the worst French car manufacturer but the suspension on the bx was great .

Had quite a few Renault and Peugeots over the years , loads of vw and audi, lots of ford and vauxhall , few BMW, merc , jag, volvo , 1 porshe , 1 lotus, Land rovers, Mitsubushi, Nissan, Toyota, 1 lexus, Honda, hyundia,

Apart from top sports cars like ferrari , lamborghini etc there's few makes I've not had lol.

There are some cars I forgot I had over the years till I sit and try to list them all , I can remember most of the memorable ones though but some I only owned for days or a few weeks as I used to change them like socks in my early 20's

Tam, as my mums dementia increased I installed a couple of WiFi cameras. It enabled me to view living room and front door via phone which many times was a life saver. Worth considering and little cost.

May allow you to work outside but monitor movement or alarm states?

The one I regret was a red Ford fairlane convertible me and a make had a garage at the time got a good offer on it and let it go, only had it about a week

Makes it look a bit more presentable for now at least

Very nice Tam, now for the 'go faster' stripes on the side! :giggle:

I'm sure someone posted about a product on here that can bring yellow plastic back to white.

I wish I could find out how.

Our bathroom, doesn't have a window, hence no direct sunlight, but the plastic in the shower part is very yellow. I'd love to take it back to its original cream colour.
