Tam n pups winter trip 2022

I'm on day and night-shift with her today as it’s my sisters anniversary so they're going out . Think I'll be knackered tomorrow lol

no you won’t

you’ll be proud that you’ve done your best and showing how much you love your mum ❤️

I was told don’t try to correct them just go along with it.

You and your Mum look lovely together and I would get that framed later to take with you on your travels.

Hang in there and just do your best.

As an aside - Morocco - did you recognise any of the places mentioned in the Atlas Mountains- such a huge shame for that country. Hope no Motorhomers were travelling up there at the time

Yes I agree Carol and you should never correct dementia patients either.

It looks well over 8 metres I thought you didn’t want one that big again? For getting to all the places you want?

I know but it's a lhd a class well built motorhome on a mercedes vario chassis. So it combines what I wanted lol.

I've been watching it on ebay for a few months now , it was way more than I'd pay for another van but it's getting closer in price now lol.

I know it's someone on here selling it I saw it advertised with a trailer initially on classifieds here.

Would need to spend a fair bit on it though so don't worry I'm still not buying it at the minute 😅

What's happened in Morocco?

What's happened in Morocco?
Earthquake 2,000 plus killed hit Marrakesh and Atlas Mountains, so very sad yet very little reported about it.

Love the photo you put on of you and your Mum one to treasure. Good to know they are keeping her pain free she is often in my thoughts.

I think if you went for the RMB it will be the longest motorhome you will own, :Eeek: it's the perfect motorhome for your lifestyle.😉

If you went and looked at it you wouldn't walk away If it's anything like the condition of Malcom's last old Hymer tag axle. Bob.

Not pain free unfortunately, she's still in a lot of pain but it's a fine balance between that and her being completely off her face on the meds which she doesn't like either.

She said a few times yesterday " that's my weeks up " so I'm not sure if she knows/feels something we can't see , I'm hoping we have her for a few more yet but we've also told her when she feels it's time she can go and we will all be OK.... its a bit of a fib as I know I won't be OK but I don't want her holding on and suffering either. I'm still hoping that she goes peacefully in her sleep as I don't want the end to be prolonged and painful. She has very little energy these days , the breathing has become a lot more wheezy and laboured and she isn't eating a great deal either just picks at things here and there, but she's doing a lot of reminiscing and dreaming , she's talked a lot about my dad and gran and people she used to know , had some fun stories from her and a few cuddles , she's so thin and frail I could lift her up in one hand I think.

Don't encourage me lol , I'm trying to be sensible.

I can’t see where it says that or the RMB model number, it looks over 8 to me?
It says on the ebay add under specs that it's 25ft long

It's shorter than the euramobil but about a metre longer than this van . This one is 6.85m

I think for a longterm van it would be a good van , but I really don't know what the future holds at the minute so the timing is all wrong .

Of course when I bought this one I never knew I was losing mum or my base here in Scotland, thats why I'd bought the caravan etc.

That's my biggest worry with this one that I don't have the storage etc that I'm uses to. Time will tell if I can live with it or not . I won't really know the pros and cons till I go on my next long trip.

But for now my outline plan is just to ride this out with mum , sort out the sale of the house afterwards so my sister isn't left to do it all herself and then ill head off for a year trip again, explore some of the countries I've not had a chance to yet. And that year should give me time and headspace to decide what's next . I can't really make any other plans than that.

If I knew for certain I was going to continue fulltime vanlife then I'd likely dive in and buy that rmb as other than the upholstery and converting it to lithium etc it's almost perfect for me and combines a nice motorhome with a merc vario durability.

But at the minute I've no idea how I will feel later on and this van being cheap leaves me a lot of financial security next year if I want to return to bricks n mortar

If there is one thing I would love in my life its the ability to be content.

My mum, sister and brother all have it, they buy things and keep them for years.
For me circumstances seem to always change, and I hate not having a plan , it makes me anxious , I probably overthink things and worry about stuff needlessly but I've always been the same
