Tam n pups winter trip 2022

the Mcmillan nurses do more than just nursing they can get things that she might need for daily use so see if you can speak to them.
they looked after my wife when she was dying even taking her into the hospice for day visits to keep her occupied and also keep an eye on her

We'll be eating them for a week lol

Tam I love Stovies - when we lived in Doha a lovely Scots couple used to a night where she’d do stovies for dinner. Us southerners loved them. Always went back for more. I must find out how to make them. Does your mum have a recipe- or like many do it by eye? Hope she enjoys her sleep and you all enjoy the food, the effort she has made to do them for you is showing y you she loves you all.

💕 for your mum.

Easiest recipe in the world , tatties , lorne sausages although you can use links sausages too if you prefer , onions , salt n pepper and if you have fat left over from frying bacon or something add that otherwise a big knob of butter works too. Then just slow boil them.

There's so many variations though , I've made them with all different types of sausages , sweet potato , garlic , chopped carrots etc. Peas

But the basic old recipe is like above

Don't listen to folk that say use corned beef...that's no stovies it's corn beef hash.

Smells wonderful in here

A cheap easy meal that's great on cold nights

In other news I think for now I'm just going to stick with "moby" he's a good old van and I think when I'm travelling I will appreciate the points I bought him for more , the RMB is tempting but not sure I want to make any big decisions just now and as I'm not sure it's best to just leave it for now. And if later I decide I want to change it again I'll figure something out.

Sounds like a sensible decision Tam.

You need to actually use "Moby" before making any decisions about anything else. Plenty of time in the future.
Aye and with all the work I and others have done on it it would be a shame not to use him for at least one trip.

I've just ordered up some new graphics for him to tidy up the bodywork where I removed the old ones. I will still maybe get him repainted later on but the graphics will smarten him up meanwhile. Also ordered a table leg and will make my own table top for him as I won't use the big original table I removed .

Good call give it a chance

Well that will save you some money as if you were to do the electrics on the RMB the help line would have been £1 a minute.

No way ... how could you ever charge Tam with his lovely Scottish lilt, you should be paying him for the 'soothing' effect of his voice! :giggle:

It's been one of those days where everything I touch has gone to shit.....

In the 90 minutes I had to myself today I managed to ruin £30 worth of graphics/stickers

And then trap my hand between the seat swivel and the handbrake.

So I'm just screaming in to the void

How did you manage that then. Have you ordered a new set?
