Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Apologies to those who think folk should just keep quiet when they aren't all sunshine and rainbows.

Thankfully you are in the minority.
We are all different, some people find it easier to talk about stuff than others. But one should ever put anyone down for saying how they feel if they are having a bad day. Being a Solo can be lonely and until you've been there you may not understand. Sometimes you just wish you had someone to share those certain moments with. Personally I find family weddings the worst time. Then again being solo you only have yourself to think about.

you moan when someone parks near you you dont like crowds now your moaning cos your lonely maybe you should stop moaning
I took that to be a funny comment, others for some reason haven't taken it that way, perhaps a smiley would have helped. Anyway I suspect he's after doing more:* moaning ... if you get my drift! :blusher: :giggle:

And I’m with the majority who love your travel reports and doggy adventures…so please keep them coming.

After 9 years of motorhome trips we’ve realised we are definitely fair weather campers. I can cope with it being a bit chilly, for a short time , but find wet weather, dogs and motorhomes are not a good combination. We did a long planned trip to Ireland in May and came home early due to the weather… I know the 90 day rule makes everything much more complicated but maybe its time to head south and get some sun… everything is so much easier and friendlier when its warm and sunny.
but whatever you decide, there are people on here wishing you all the best. Xx

That's the annoying part , my mums side were from Galway but my granny was born in Scotland so I wouldn't qualify for Irish passport or I would so I could get round the 90 day bollocks.
That's a pity Tam, hopefully things will settle down and they will allow UK citizens to travel more freely & for as long as they like in the EU 🤞

I'm hoping so but I can't see it.

Especially as freedom of movement was one of the main gripes leave voters had. Many admittedly not realising its a 2 way thing.

Even 6 months in a row would be better than the 90 in 180 , or limit how long in each country or something rather than the whole of shengen.

90 days isn't long enough to escape winter or to explore places thoroughly.

We are much the same, especially with a thick coated dog and a PVC. We need to be able to leave her outside.

I totaly agree with you having had 4 good weeks of sunshine this morning woke up to a thick sea mist in mid Portugal and I realised the weather was turning and would not get any better, then I watched the dog bounce around in the cool morning and thought every dog has its day, for you it can only get better look forward to your winter away always be positive😇

The dogs themselves aren't too bad, I can towel dry them and having a good power bank I can also use the hairdryer if required. Its just drying stuff like towels etc as I've not been needing the heating so far and don't want to start using it too early as its then hard to stop 😁🤣

Tam would the French visa be of use to you?

My ferry from Dublin to holyhead is booked for the 23rd November... I knew it wasn't going to be great weather here this time of year it was more to just extend my holiday from 90 days to a bit more. If I'd been to Morocco before and knew what it was like I'd have tried 6 weeks in Spain 3 months in Morocco then another 6 weeks in Spain. Bit not having been before I thought it too risky . If I like it then it's always an option in future years.

We did the same in July/August, intended to spend 5 weeks there but after having 3 weeks of cool weather, a fair bit of rain, and not really any chance to sit out much which is what we like to do we called it quits and travelled back to SW Scotland for 10 days where we had much better weather. The ironic thing is that this was the time when back home was having the blooming heat wave!

I'll have a read up

I got into big trouble with my niece on Monday night she sent me a message saying she felt like shit, and I sent her a "love it" emoji instead of a "heart hug" I got a curt "Thank you Auntie Gina for loving that I feel like shit":X3:

Gina.

If its of any help to you Tam I am on my second marriage both due to sort of dating apps. The first was all done by post/phone as the internet hardly existed then (1978)(we were together for 23 years and had three boys), the second with a website but still involving phoning/meeting etc.
If I was you I would avoid trying to initiate any sort of relationship via text/email etc, we all know we can accidently come over as meaning something unintentional. Many people on dating sites lie about themselves, I don't know why as they will always be found out, you can't beat a meeting, but failing that a video call is nearly as good.
Being in a relationship isn't always good news either, at present you can pretty well do what you like without having to consider another person. Being in a relationship can be quite restricting. In my case having to cope with two sets of medical problems makes it very difficult to get away at all.

That's an interesting one to file away in the back of my head. If you can get a French visa then disappear off round the various Schengen countries for longer than 3 months that could be a winner.

I was looking at the temps in different places today as I may well be free of work next year. I think I would head to Croatia at this time of year, I know its not the best Wilding location but it does stop the 90 day countdown. Decent weather this time of year, then head to Spain when it gets crappy, then Morocco when the days are running out.

Lot of shengan countries between here and Croatia though and a few between there and Spain. Its either a lot of driving over a few days or its a few weeks off 90 days
