Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Some people may interact with you differently if they perceive you have insulted or belittled them even if they deserved the clueless or time waster etc description. Some may even walk away from a deal if they feel so inclined.
Well I can't help that lol. But I only use timewaster and clueless where it's justified.

I'm afraid if someone has owned a motorhome for 3 years but can't tell me anything about it when asked , and In this case knows the taxation class etc is incorrect but done nothing about it then it does fall under the clueless category.

There is another point - the seller or any other potential buyer of the Hymer might now know what you are prepared to pay.

Aye but again it doesn't make much difference as that would be the max I'd pay anyway. That's what it's worth to me at the minute. If he turned that down I'd just leave it.

Aye there's always risks but it looks pretty good and I'd take a gamble at 10k . Nowt on it that can't be repaired.
Most things on those oldies are fixable.
One weak spot is the sliding window on the passenger side prone to leaking around the frame and you end up with a spongy wall below it, not that hard to fix.

It's really annoying as if the vario had been collected and paid for I'd have no hesitation in making an offer for that hymer. But as its still here and could be another 2 weeks....or more as nothings a safe bet till paid for I'm reluctant to end up with 3 vans here at the minute .

So I'm just going to have to be patient.

I couldn't physically go to see it or collect it till Tuesday at the earliest anyway

I've someone who said they're coming to view mine on Monday but will see if that happens or not.

Nothing seems to be moving fast at the minute. I've around 20 vans on my ebay watch list ranging from £7k to nearly 40k and none are moving.

My add on gumtree is still getting between 70 and 120 views daily as I relist it every single day.

But no enquiries at the minute .

Have to prepare for the fact I might have it till next year.

The market must be slowing rapidly then, I wonder if dealers are experiencing the same?
a few of the vans I've on watch are dealers so I'd guess so

Sometimes the stock has sold and the dealers just keep it there to keep their names out there especially on AT
Look at the globecars smc have on AT they’re all sold and most have left the premises months ago but they’re still advertised for sale🤷‍♂️

Even more expensive vans don't seem to be selling, there is a funster has the same van that I have bought that isn't moving. If they had advertised it on here when they enquired how much it was worth I might have bought it but they didn't nor replied to my message on Faceache promptly. By the time they did we had dropped a deposit on another one, anyway ours is newer with much less miles.

Hey bigtree
Snap! We have a matching Catty, his name is Bobby, and he lives outside in the summer, chasing Foxes & trying to catch anything that moves.

Hi Tam, just watched a you tube video on the Vanlife show at Stratford earlier in the month.
They even had a sign up amongst the vans for sale ,called Vario Row/Road, loads of Vario self builds up for sale, I guess you have seen most of them on line...so whats the score do you reckon, why are many giving up vanlife?, why would they want to sell off their Varios?

I would say the 90 / 180 is the main reason for many, unless your adventurous and travelling outside the EU your very restricted. 🤔
We left home in Spain two months ago, and travelling using free Aires and wild camping spending nothing on parking is very easy, first stop today will be Canterbury and visit Lakeland and of course a fish and chip shop 😜 and already I can see the ££££££ flash up in my eyes. 😁 Bob.

Though obviously there may be reasons other than a slow down in sales, but I frequently pass AMC and Marquis at Golden Cross, and they do seem to have more stock in than they have in recent years.

On the interest of 'balance' ... can we have some of your pooch photos Tam. 😄
