I started going South at 45 lol . It's warmerApparently I have heard that once you hit 50 everything goes south, obviously I am too young to comment
Summer schedule now so 3 a day leaves UK at 11:30pm.Brrrr it's bloody cold again this morning , up at 4am through passport etc sat now waiting to board.
I'm curios though if there's only 2 ferries a day from Newhaven to dieppe and its 6.30am from dieppe and 6 pm , and it's 10am from Newhaven
Where did the ferry come from that arrived here at 4am?
OK well I have some good news and some no so good news.
So I was sat in lidl carpark and this big bird shat on my newly cleaned windscreen , so I sat there giving it a good blast with the windscreen washers as you do .. I then drove round corner to carrefour and topped up my diesel...probably same price as UK but saves me stopping for a bit on the other side.
Annnnway as I was filling with diesel I see water pouring from my front bumper so I had a look underneath , lots of liquid pouring from bottom of engine at gearbox so I had a look behind bonnet and sure enough the rubber seal that's meant to stop rainwater and windscreen washer fluid from running on to my engine is missing ....so whenever I use the washers my engine gets soaked ...that's running down the block collecting any oil spills and then the oily black mess is being sprayed under my van . So I don't have an engine oil leak or a coolant leak just a missing seal giving my engine a wash . So that at least clears up one issue.
Still no idea why I'm hearing other things but I do also think at the minute I'm running heavy on the rear of the van and light on the front as I've only 30% water etc on board , no extra water or dog food etc but now I've the scooter on the back again.

Where this seal has gone I have no idea , it was definitely there before and I'm not sure how it could just fall of either but there's no sign of it
Did they say "Very Funny....Next!"I've arrived ...its cold and grey
Got asked on entry if I was carrying any meat , pork lamb etc
I said no but I've got 5 sheepskins and 4 goatskins lol
He didn't find it funny
Anyway I'm now on route to Newbury to collect chairs from a funster then heading up the road
The van is fine but I've just had another problem and not sure what I can dohows the van performing?
Yeah I've phoned them . Patrol on way .It seems the adventure is not yet over… breakdown should cover it as don’t they cover anything you’re towing..? I suppose it’s a form of towing plus the vehicle has broken and can’t continue it’s journey….
Best say where you are , you never know a funster maybe local with a welder.Never rains but it pours eh ,.....

My towbar has snapped ....not the scooter rack but the towbar itself.
How the feck do I deal with this ???
Not sure if my breakdown will cover me for this
I wondered who that was ... yeah everything was going fine then I heard a load of grinding and thought it was something under the front . Couldn't see anything walked round back and the scooter was on the ground dragging behindAaagh. That’s sods law. I passed you on the A23 about 10.30. ( sorry that was me waving madly and giving a thumbs up). All looked good and you was motoring fine. No good telling you now but I might have been able to put the bike on my towbar. I hope breakdown does its job.
Good luck and big thanks for trip narrative.
