Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Tame compared to how they park in Italy, there I've seen them shunt both the car in front and behind to get in a space a couple of feet shorter than their car, put me off parking anywhere in Naples, glad I didn't have the van with me on that trip.
I remember watching incredulously in Limerick someone continue to do.

I've been told by a friend in Paris that no one who parks there applies their handbrake. Less damage when someone needs to nudge into a space too small for their car. Never driven or parked in Paris and never intend to.

I know in America it was common practice but they had bumpers designed for that and they were mostly automatics they left in park with no handbrake. . That allowed them to move a little . But nowadays with plastic bumpers it's not acceptable

They seem to do it a lot , I saw a car back in to a space yesterday , wallop the car behind and just pull back out and drive off. And they had done a fair bit damage to the other car. Their own car was covered in dents so they obviously ain't very good drivers

I’ve seen it too in Spain … it seems that their bumpers are parking sensors, once you’ve hit the car then that’s far enough…😡

It’s normal to bump a car when parking how else would they know when to stop,90% of Spanish drivers have no respect for their vehicle it’s just a mode of transport they don’t understand all the cleaning and caring that we do.

One of our best friends, Angéla, insisted on driving when she went with us for the first time to "Trafico" in Murcia. When parking she drove in reverse until her bumper "kissed" the car behind. That's the way they do it 😉🤣

Since then, we either took ourselves, or hired a company to do the paperwork.

Not just cars creatively parking. I once saw a coach shunt up a row of cars so he could park in Paris.
I would never drive there.
Driven in Paris when I was a young 30 year old, following my customer in his Porshe 911 in my humble XR3, he did a U turn across 4 lanes I followed, never heard so many horns go off at one time but I made it unscathed.

No excuse for being a dick in any vehicle. Some we've experienced on this trip think a 4.5 tonne camper has a 10 ft stopping distance. Hope you can sort the cracks out easily.

I understand the blooming frustration well, on our first trip in our new Carthago we were in Spain, just one week in to our holiday and some pillock must've crashed/fallen onto the top of the front offside bumper and put a crack in it. To say I was upset is an understatement!!! It's a good job I wasn't there when it happened as I'd have been done for murder!

I think we just have to be a bit philosophical. We cannot change what other people (and in my case at least) what we have done to our vehicles.

Annoying for sure, but we cannot turn the clock back.

I’ve a cracked rear light lens as a Frenchman and my dear wife were shouting opposite instructions while I was trying to park between trees in a crowded campsite.

Is a cracked lens an MoT fail, ‘cos it’s a £300 part?

It’s called empathy; folks are empathising with Tam’s experience. 👍

Which one!

I'm not usually a fan of covers , usually I think the original was best. But sometimes the odd song gets redone and it blows the original out the water .

This is one , give it a chance its awesome
