Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Spoke to soon there's an old defender towing a 24ft hobby caravan and an old sprinter just squeezed in behind me . The landy and caravan are not getting out this street again unless the van in front of me and me move. Which I don't plan to do till Monday lol. He's a brave man towing that through these narrow one way streets.

Any bets on nationality?
Knacker?... 😂😂

The place where I keep my motorhome won’t accept Hobby caravans. Favourite haunt of travellers apparently.
Aye in the UK they are one of their favourites. They are crazy wide though aswell . That's why I think this guy is very brave towing one through these streets. Its bad enough in a motorhome lol. Stuff towing

Same as the one I had before the hymer but that one is a bit newer, it was a good van and sold it to a funster..😎

Some feckin eedjit ( Spanish) just reversed in to my van , and when I went out to confront him he just shrugged and then drove off 😳

He hit it hard enough that he's bent an aluminium plate under the bonnet and put a small crack in one of the bits of fibreglass. Fortunately nothing very noticeable or serious because let's face it the insurance would be next to useless and probably end up just costing me money.

I hope there’s not too much damage?

I know someone who had the same van, Rapido Merc 3 litre.

He said access to the engine was ridiculous you didn’t have an inch spare when you lifted the bonnet. Nightmare to work on.

Well you have had number plate. Police? I’d be raging if someone just drove off ..,

I can't see them being much help. I'd probably just get moved.

They seem to do it a lot , I saw a car back in to a space yesterday , wallop the car behind and just pull back out and drive off. And they had done a fair bit damage to the other car. Their own car was covered in dents so they obviously ain't very good drivers

It’s normal to bump a car when parking how else would they know when to stop,90% of Spanish drivers have no respect for their vehicle it’s just a mode of transport they don’t understand all the cleaning and caring that we do.

You should definitely ring the police . Its still an offence, even in Spain.

I’ve seen it too in Spain … it seems that their bumpers are parking sensors, once you’ve hit the car then that’s far enough…😡

Tame compared to how they park in Italy, there I've seen them shunt both the car in front and behind to get in a space a couple of feet shorter than their car, put me off parking anywhere in Naples, glad I didn't have the van with me on that trip.

I stayed in a hotel in central Madrid years ago, and I was astonished to see how many people created a parking space by "Nudging" cars in front and behind them to get into a tight parking place, no one seemed to notice them doing it so it must be the norm.
The cars were not old bangers either!, there was a brand new Mini involved, I would have been well peed off.

A right PIA, I agree you should report it, just in case he does and tries to blame you for driving into him.
I don't think he would as he just drove off , he doesn't have my van number or anything, he was a scruffy looking bugger with a wee girl in the back .

I'm sure the woman in the Spanish registered van in front is British so when she comes back I might ask her if she could translate to the police. But not sure it's worth the aggro , with this big caravan etc parked here they might just decide to move us all. No point attempting a claim as I'd just be penalised and it isn't very visible damage to be honest...more bloody annoying than anything else
