Really really windy here today but it's very warm , the wind is pleasant but hot . Jackie buggered off to the mountains yesterday , not sure if we will meet up again before Morocco as she needs to cross around 17/18th or she'll be out of time . I can't get ela tested again till 18th and I plan to do that around nerja or malaga so no point in me rushing to move so it's back to me n the pups for a bit.

Happy days Tam
Let's hope you get a vet that will get it all done & dusted pronto!
Hopefully you'll know 10 days or less after 18th 👍

The only thing I know about cars is that they usually have a wheel at each corner and an engine that breaks down only when most inconvenient. I loose the will to live when I am in car discussing company. However, that small red one in your pictures Tam ..... I want one, it looks lovely ::bigsmile::giggler:

I'll probably get verbal results within 10days but it seems 20/21 days is the norm for the written certificate .

A couple I follow on Instagram just got their paperwork on the 5th , their test was done on the 15th . So that works out same time mine took .

That's a fiat 500 or bambino ...the original one before the huge one that have now .

They're my second favourite old European classic after the Renault 4 😁

There's a few nice ones on ebay

Moved today to roquettas de Mar...I was expecting it to be busy but its fairly quiet. The bit wasteground facing the sea is no longer open to motorhomes but you can park on the approach road which is fine for me . There's only 5 of us here and well spread out compared to the dedicated mh parking which is full and like sardines . ( see last pic )

Had a nice walk along to castillo santa Anna. Its really warm today ..but of a breeze but the breeze is warm so doesn't really cool you down . I reckon it's over 25°

I still prefer the original fiat 500 if i had to choose.....although the alpine A110 beats them both hands down for me .
Yeah seat is the Spanish branch of fiat ..a lot are pretty much identical but some are different. I think there was originally a 500L by fiat which was a similar size to the seat 600 .

The alpine is a nice car ...pretty rare too

But old stuff definitely had more character than anything modern.

If I ever had millions I'd have a garage full of old motors but very few newer ones .

It was never a branch of FIAT AFAIK. They had an agreement and I believe FIAT had shares in the business. However not a majority holding. I believe they basically used FIAT parts ( a lot of parts....well all of the parts) with their permission. They were ahead of their time maybe. They fell out in early 80's

Its fair to say they were really brand engineered but they were manufactured in Spain. Or better described assembled.

Its different now as SEAT are wholly owned by VW since 1990
