Tam n pups winter trip 2022

I must of been lucky with any of my Land Rover stuff (only had 3 over the years) but none of them have given any bother... maybe they send the good ones over to the Paddy's 😂😂
I always remember my BIL saying after two discovery's he got a Honda HRV he said " it's so nice not to have oil on the drive"

Yes I have a neighbour they're horsey people and they had a few Discovery too over the years but now they bought the new shape Hyundai Santa Fe and said its like night and day to driving them, the Discovery were shite

How long did you own each of them?

If you're like me which I think you are you tend not to have motor's long. So it's often a case of luck

Still prefer the old stuff though

Small sample of my vw collection I've had well over 200 vw in 32 years of driving. But sadly I don't have pics of them all anymore

The red bay , the silver t4 and the yellow t4 multivan won me several prizes and trophies , both the yellow and silver were featured in vw World magazine , the silver also made vw trends magazine and the yellow made vw camper and bus as a feature . It was one of only 6 rhd vw multivans in sari yellow ever produced

They're all fantastic Tam, you'll certainly like the classic stuff, you'll love Morocco as there's loads of that older stuff about over there,
But your collection of stuff looks amazing 👍

I also spotted this little beauty on the way back from the 3 Kings last night . It's an old seat 124 ...there was a fiat model the same and the design plans for this car was sold to lada eventually and the lada riva was born from it in the 70's

Those were the days didn't have panic when you had a flat battery.

Before the lada riva though lol . They weren't built till post 73 . Cranking handles died in the 50's didn't they

Well everyday is a school day I just googled that and apparently they did lol . 😆 🤣🤣🤣 they shoulda fitted the fiat engine lol

Both of my Morris Minors and my 100e Ford van had them:LOL:
You could buy a kit to fit one to a Mini.

Starting handles were great for finding TDC, setting up points, or adjusting tappets, or simply starting the engine with a flat battery. (y)
Plus of course the good old HT strobe light for adjusting the Timing.(y)
Sadly those days are gone with modern ECU's, Fuel injection & electronic ignition.

Definitely not a camel
Not the sort of thing you see for sale in Ireland lol
Don't you go giving him a Lepreucorn... He's got enough trouble keeping control of Ela without one of those causing mischief! 😆
