Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

Jade could be the result of a holiday romance, she does look a bit greyhound-ish on body and legs

She looks great sat looking out the window, just like a guard dog.
She misses nothing by eye or by nose lol

Shed make a great police dog :p

The kg argument won't work :LOL:Depends how much you feed her. I'm more talking growth in height.

No having met Jade she won't get much bigger than she is. We've had 3 over the years, including 2 sisters of the same type & they are small & a sort of 'ratter'.

Tam I love the photo where Jadey is looking out of the window , I bet she is thinking she has dropped on here and so glad she isn't one of the poor pups still in the compound.!
I think she's enjoying her life :)

Bit Silvia at the shelter does take good care of the dogs there till they find homes.
So many lovely dogs there. The 3 others I was interested in there all have homes now thankfully

Tam

I hope Jade is more then 3 months - otherwise I think you may have a dog bigger than you thought. She seems to have grown quite a bit since you started posting pics of her.

I am glad it is all still going well.

Geoff
This explains the size thing quite well

One thing i will be glad of us when her nose calms down a bit and when she asks out for a pee she does the pee instead of mooching round to see what she can eat.
7am this morning she woke me up ...i too needed a pee but not wanting a mess on the floor I got dressed and took her out
She then spent 10 minutes mooching to see what she coukd eat while I'm walking round practically cross legged.

And then when we come back in she falls back asleep and I'm wide awake .....little stinker.

Could be some terrier in her if she uses her nose a lot.
I’ve always asked G to ‘piss’ always used the same word and told her ‘good girl’ a lot when she’s done it now she’ll almost pee on command! Very handy if you’re in a hurry or it’s raining!

The nose never stops ....she sounds like a Dyson half the time lol.

I pray for the day when she pees on command. I've yet to endure the early morning pee in rain yet its bad enough in the dry.

A few pics from today, left garrucha followed the coast down stopped at carboneras for a bit took jade for a walk on the beach and then we went for a cycle along the cycle path there.
Then we headed farther to the cabo de gata went and seen one of the old derelict gold mines ....seriously windy though and I kid you not jade was being blown off her feet I had to pick her up and carry .....im parked up having lunch at a beach between las negras and rodalquilar at the minute

Still really windy with sandstorm so not stepped out the van yet
Her ladyship is fast asleep again.

Can you reach from the hab door to wind-out the awning and keep her on the lead while she pees under it - to keep her dry for re-entry? Just a thought.

Playa Pelazo, is there a fort at the end of the beach, nice walk from there to Las Negras and the ........campsite:) La Caleta and Las Negras.

If you walk from Las Negras towards Agua Amarga you will soon come upon the hippy type commune at San Pedro which has no vehicular access. We had an interesting lunch there one day sat next to a spring/well/washing area when an extremely nubile young lady stripped off completely and began to bathe:D

Farther along is Cala del Plomo which is accessible via dirt track from the main road between Las Negras and Agua Amarga, used by lots of FLT's:) ,usually converted vans, ex army trucks etc, lots of dreadlocks.

Are you serious?
My awning is about 7 metres long there's no danger I'm winding that out by myself.
I've never used it.

Yes that's the one I've not been out to explore yet as after lunch I had a siesta with the pup.
Just woke up and it's still blowing a gale but might go look at this fort.
Hopefully I can stay overnight here it's a beautiful spot , at the minute there's only me and a very old classic hymer ....probably the oldest one I've seen. Will grab a pic but internets a bit poor here so might not be able to upload any just now.

Werner and gurty had told me about the hippy commune that's why I'm here :D
I'm going to go see if I can join them or at least witness the "nubile young ladies bathing " :D

calle de plomo they have been moving folk at night . even fenced off the parking area by the font half way down the track. a couple of years ago we were given official warnings about it being national park area and had to move . have seen the wardens since and so long as you dont stop over night its ok.
shame really been using it since a kid with my parents years ago.
long trk to san pedro.
lots of the places there have gone now though and some of the tracks/roads blocked off ,used to be nice going from cabo de gato lighthouse area on the tracks to el monsul then san jose.
like every where it changes as we get older.
used to be ok at the three palms , hippy camp but that went a few years ago.
have fun . look hard and you will find the good places .
