I always try not to speak on any videos because my voice sounds crap.(n)
I'm glad it's not just me then lol.
Unfortunately jade still.needs the vocal encouragement or she gets distracted and I have to fetch instead lol

Went up on roof to check out the leaking skylight this morning and found one of the previous owners had bodged it all up with silicone.

Why folk put silicone near motorhomes I'll never know but I stripped it all off removed all the frame cleaned it up and resealed it with mastic. Managed not to break anything on removal but the plastic liner that goes on the inside is a little worse for wear. Looked online for a new one but reluctant to pay £126 plus postage for it so I'm gonna just do a patch up job on the old liner.

Forgot to take pics of it cleaned up and refitted but hopefully that's it sealed up now

I got jade an anorak but I can't stop laughing long enough to take her out in it.

It's peeing it down here today so a good test for my resealed skylight and all seems well for now thankfully. I know I did it right but I'm always nervous when doing these things lol in case I end up with a swimming pool ha ha.

I want to reseal the smaller remis one over the bed and replace the push up mk style one that's in the toilet compartment with a wind up fiamma one

She was a wild puppy so used to all weathers , she is thinking she doesn’t need a coat!!
Aye it was an attempt to stop her getting so mucky when out as she always waits till she's in my mum's lounge to shake the little sod.

But she's having none of it so won't bother I don't think. She doesn't seem to be bothered with the cold and wet

An update on mum

The spinal unit she's in at the moment don't want to operate if they can avoid it as it's high risk and if goes wrong she could be left paralysed from waist down. They want to continue with the iv antibiotics for another 5 to 6 weeks so looks like mum's gonna be in hospital over Christmas.
They are going to keep a close eye over next few days and see if progress on infection improves and then hope to transfer her back to Fife either queen Margaret or the Vic not sure which yet....by end of week.

She's still not eating enough and being a right pain in the ass with her meds which isnt helping but they can't force her to take them.

Not great

Ah worrying times for you Tam. You’ll just have to go with the flow and trust that the docs know what they’re doing, difficult as that can be sometimes. Being on antibiotics so long will make your mum grouchy and pretty weak but she will come round once they kick in.
That wasn’t you heading south on the A90 passing Forfar about half nine was it? Looked a bit like Toby but I couldn’t see the rear LED’s through all the rain o_O

It's a worry about your Mum ,Tam but you can only stay positive and keep your mind on her getting better. At least she is in the right place to get the help she needs.
As for poor Jade as @intokenny said bang goes her street cred! she's probably too embarrassed to be seen in it!
Left to it's own devices her body will adapt and she will acclimatise to Scottish weather. (If later when it is really foul she is shivering or reluctant to go out then you might need to try a coat).
There are two alternatives 1. Put her Jacket on and immediately give her multiple treats, entice her to move and again instantly more treats, repeat until wearing the jacket becomes her favourite fun game.
2. Let her go "au natural"but keep a towel inside the back door, whenever you come in,wet or dry , teach her to "WAIT" on the mat ,until you have towelled her dry and wiped her feet. Reward her with a cuddle, game or treat and give her permission to go into the rest of the house.

Sorry to hear that. My mother-in-law is back home, but for how long who knows - she will inevitably be back in hospital before much longer. We seem to be in a cycle now, she picks up an infection of any kind and it sets it all off again. Worrying bit is she doesn't recognise the signs, it happens suddenly and on the phone she will tell you all is well - it's only when it becomes severe that you can tell on the phone that something is wrong. Doesn't help that her hearing is poor!

Would be a damn sight easier if she lived closer to us, but hey-ho, she doesn't and no way will she ever move, we can't with kids in school - plus it's damn expensive where she lives - so we just have to make the best of it.
