Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

When we had the Kemerton with the dark windows, we were parked in the top car park at the Falkirk wheel. A bus driver was obviously bored and came up to the windows and was peering through with his nose practically touching the glass. I slid along the seat and popped my head up. Never seen anyone jump back so quickly:D I wouldn't be surprised if a little bit of wee came out :rofl::rofl:
I've had folk doing that at the windscreen with the Frankia that's why I was glad the hymer has the curtains behind cab seats

Called DVLA as I had not had my C5 through for a new vehicle, they didn't have a record having given them my registration number. I asked them as it was 2 weeks into my ownership should I be concerned? Told me I should not drive it on the road as if they have no record it doesn't have road tax therefore insurance would be invalidated. Although I haven't checked I also recall within my insurance policy statement the insurance policy is in place providing the vehicle is taxed.

I posted my conversation which is good enough for me!
About 3 weeks ago I was stopped by the police on my way back from visiting mum in hospital. They stopped me because the wee pegeuot I was driving that is only bought a Few days before came up on their system as not taxed I had only taxed it online the day before. The police did say to me they wouldn't have done anything about it but he did say they were notifying me as in his words " insurance can be funny about it "
He didn't say it would be invalid but he also didn't say that it wouldn't so you have to ask yourself is it worth the risk and for me personally I'd rather not lose 20k in a camper cause it wasn't taxed.

Just got a message from my sister they've moved my mum to the western general hospital in Edinburgh tonight.
It's further away to go in for visiting but hopefully she will get better more specialised care there. Sister says she's been seen by doctors there already which is good

Fingers c

Tam , good you’ve had a good night and stayed cosy warm. Jade is not getting you up early in the morning then !!!

Now that Mum is being seen by different people you hopefully will see an improvement in her.

Keep us up to date on your mini (weekend) journey, and enjoy yourself.

Sitting in a layby outside Montrose emptying my grey tank doon the drain as when I flushed the fresh water tanks with citric acid I obviously forgot to empty grey tank and an alarm has been going off since I left lunan bay and I didn't know what it was.

It's basically fresh water so it will be fine

I won’t tell you my favourite up the West coast but have you ever visited Mugdock castle or the early Lennox castle ?

That’s solved a mystery! I took photos of those little models when I toured Scotland a couple of years ago but couldn’t remember where they were.

I haven't actually as I always tend to be further north ...I'll have to add them to my list of places to visit through the West

They're very cool I think they have been made by one of the house owners near them as he has other metal models all over his garden

Brilliant pics as usual Tam, thank you. Jade must be going through " a growth spurt ", she looks very tall and leggy in that picture. :)
