Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

I sometimes wonder if jade is really a cat in disguise lol View attachment 262108 View attachment 262109
Mine does it on occasions. I put it down to him thinking I'm about to go out without him:D or he's a bit insecure sometimes as he was abandoned.
I can't believe after all the hassle of getting my mum to sign a cheque for me last night I've only lost the bloody thing when out with jade this morning.

So now I've to send another cheque through to mum with my brother to get signed

This is like an episode of keystone cops to get a motorhome taxed
You haven't put it in a "safe place" have you.:giggle:

He's left it at the blooming hospital so I won't get it now till tomorrow night

So today I've been giving Toby 2 coats of hard wax so that's all the polishing etc done
He now looks like this :)

I then removed and resealed the high level brake light and fitted 2 new zadi locks to the belly lockers as two were knackered and wouldn't close.

Then I've fitted an led striplight above the bed because only two little spotlights at that end and they were useless so now it's a bit brighter

And finally I took of the tacky coat hooks the last owner had fitted behind the fridge and fitted a handy storage pouch hanger :)

Looking good . Where did you source the pouch hanger? It looks as if it might fit were I need some storage.

On eBay £4.99 free postage
I've bought two as I'm fitting one on another panel in the van ...handy for books and things

Well I have to say I don't think you've done as good a job as you could've with a little more practice.

I will pm you my address and out the goodness of my heart let you practice on Vanessa. She's not had a polish in a year or two LOL;)

Aye I'd like to at least a weekend away soon but gotta wait till dvla sort the taxation class so I can get road tax

Tam, can you take a close up photo of those mirror brackets please.
I don't think they are original equipment but useful as mine vibrant quite a lot.
Do they look home made or an accessory from mirror manufacturers
They would make fitting the screens difficult unless they can be detached ?

I'll take a pic when the rain stops. I've no idea if they are home made or a bought accessory but they look ok and certainly keep mirrors steady.

I'm not one for using silverscreens as I wild camp mostly so I don't like the idea of having to go out and remove screens should I need to move in a hurry.

The bracket do look home made and I would be worried what happened if the mirror gets hit, as the mirrors are designed to move, could they damage the body near the windscreen.
Just my thoughts

Here's a pic of those brackets.
Might be worth considering @Manic points regarding if something hit them.
They do stop vibration bit I'm now a little concerned myself of the damage that could be done if some idiot hits my mirrors

That bracket on the top definitely looks to be home made, likely fitted by a previous owner to stop vibration.

Don't think the bracket would make much extra damage , it looks pretty frangible .
