Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

Well, we’ll be looking for a wash and polish soon - near Kinross. Can you paint scratches too :)

So back to Toby

Now on the whole battery /solar thing ...it would seem that at the minute the batteries are taking and holding a charge ...both solar controllers are showing input and the main control panel is showing that it's receiving a charge from the panels even in this dull weather this morning it's showing +4amps

So I'm inclined at the minute to leave well alone and see how it works out once I've had lights and tv on in an evening etc.

I will replace all the space terminals going to the solar regulators as they aren't great with exposed wire etc and will see how it goes.

And then if they are pants I'll replace batteries and a new regulator

But this is what the panel is showing right now

That's better than franky got on a day like today.

As for panel sizes I think it's a 120 and a 100 watt that's up there. The 120 charges both leisure and engine batteries. The other only the leisure.

But I've no idea what this eis-ex symbol means

I like those controllers, you get a heck of a lot more information than our system gives.

It fits in gas reg to prevent reg freeze up in winter
@Northernraider
Apparently EisEx is an 'Electric regulator heating prevents icicles forming in the gas pressure regulation system. Also ensures a trouble-free gas supply in winter conditions.'

*edit* @tacr2man beat me to it :)
That will explain it because the only truma thing in van is the boiler which was switched off so I thought there was a fault.

It's another day of polishing just now but damm im so pleased at how good its coming up i could break dance

I've always been quite lucky with motors and i dint want to tempt fate but i actually think ive scored a really good van here at a bargain price ...and I'm loving the quality and sturdiness of the build I have to say

I may be a convert

I owe a big thanks to those of you who helped me decide to buy Toby as I very nearly decided not to buy it the few little jobs I need to do to it are minimal and although I knew I could clean it up a bit he has come up far better than I imagined.
I'm going to get a quote from a paintshop that does plastic welding to see how much it would cost to get the front wheel arches repaired and then those and the front bumper repainted as he would be near mint then

Just look at that shine

And that's before I do the super resin polish and final wax

It's like a new van

Got jade a wee present too

Are you aware that in U.K. a dog tag must have address and postcode of owner?
https://www.yourdogsneeds.co.uk/dog-tags-and-the-law-a-83.html
No idea how it is supposed to work if no fixed address.
I wasn't I didn't even know a tag was required
But someone had advised if you put a tag on saying I'm chipped it discourages someone from stealing her as the vet would contact me before transferring chip to a new owner

Not sure how accurate that is

Well it’s the law that every dog must be chipped so I don’t think saying on the tag makes any difference to potential thieves.

There are terrible reports of thieves gouging out an existing chip but I think you have to be wary of worrying too much as these cases always make the headlines like rape or murder and we cannot all live our lives in fear that this could happen to us.

I think my only concern with jade is she's that friendly I honestly think she would go home with anyone ....and as such that's an appeal to doggy tealeaves
