Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

Funny you should say that but Amazon are hiring and that's my line is warehousing so that might be the plan although I signed up with a driving agency this morning.

Nice healthy bank balance just now I've never had that much in the bank as I'd bought franky begore my house sale funds cleared lol.

So I just worked it out and I'm only 15k down since August last year.

That's including all my travelling and living expenses for 9 months travel plus all my living costs so I can't complain at that.

Now I just need the right van for me to come up for sale.

Someone taking the scooter tomorrow
15 k , but think of the experiences and memories you have , and most importantly Jade .
I read your post about Amazon hiring , that's why I said a wee job while mum improves . Sounds right for now.
Talking of Jade , how is she with the Fife accent neebor(y)

Oh I know it's perfect as I had given myself a 15k budget to do this year but that hadnt accounted for the repairs I had to do to franky etc so I'm glad that all in I still came in on budget

Shame but you can't win 'em all.
Someone should tell them "each failure is a stepping stone to a far greater success " although I doubt they would get much consolation from that right now.

Thoroughly enjoyed your journey, Tam, we started off roughly at the same time, sold our house etc, with Sammy (our westie) in January, but unfortunately we lost him shortly into our journey, now settled in the south Hams, we've always wanted to live here for 40 years. We were heartbroken when Sam went...
Soooooo glad it ended well (best wishes to mum)

Well....... looking forward to the next big adventure......for everyone.
X.

Good luck.......

Tam, pleased for you as that’s what you wanted, but poor Franky one minute she’s getting cleaned and the next minute she’s being waved goodbye.
Poor Jade she has got used to her home and now she’s homeless again and her Daddy’s maybe got a driving job, where will she go?

Oh Tam you need to quickly get settled with another van so your little girl can get settled again, and, what about the Funsters, what will we do without our daily fix?

You’ve written one book, I for one am looking forward to the beginning of the next. xx

Calm down dear it's just a commercial break :p hopefully the next adventure will be happening after new year. If mum's all well and I get a new van at the price I want I'll be hitting the road again start of year. Might go back to Spain for the first couple of months till it warms up then head east:)

For reference this is the van my buyer was supposed to buy

He bid 38 grand on it blind paid a grand deposit and drive from Blackpool to collect but said it had lots of damage etc so walked away

He had to pay more for franky as there was no way of accept that price but he is ecstatic and says he loves everything about franky so many features the burstner didn't have.

To think one of these was once my dream van ....how things change )

Looking forward to the next instalments.

What are we going to do now, Tam. Your thread was always the go-to one that we read before all others. Thanks for letting us travel vicariously with you on your journeys. We had a great time!
Just need to hear that your Mum is well and home again and all will be good.

Congrats on the sale Tam, am sooooooo looking forward to the next "book" you write. Have really enjoyed following your journey. Thank you so much. Good luck with mum & the new job whatever it is.

Well done selling Frankie so quickly. Hope your mum continues her recovery quickly.

You've set a challenge now, looking for a new van, be prepared ...

I’m pleased you sold frankie tam,, bravo,, but I am more concerned about the bloke that bought it!!!

If you left a FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, cd in the player, when he hits the button, he will go either one of two ways,,,,

He will drive off the nearest bridge!!!
Or
He will get home,, rip the top off a can of Stella,, eat a raw chicken from the fridge, throw his Mrs over the table and give her a good seeing to!!! Either way,, you will have changed his life!!! Xx

Congratulations on the sale. Look forward to the next camper and travel. The new thread could be called. One man and his dog blog. :D

Ps
Nothing wrong with Burstner elegance.(y)

Do you look on mobile.de Tam? So many to choose from!

You would have to import, but plenty of info on here about it, would almost certainly be left hand drive, but I prefer my motorhome to be LHD, I'm used to the roads in this country and it's more 'natural' when you go abroad.

Oh I know the biggest problem is folk plucking a crazy price out the air and insisting it's worth it.
I've made offers on a few that are asking trade money for private vans
One actually ended on eBay with no bids at 16 grand and was relisted straight away at 18 lol ...waste of advert money in my opinion I offered 15.

But I'll find one :)

And he will be grateful for it :p

Anyway I've already changed his life I sold him a beautiful motorhome.

Ha ha well the next trip I'm gonna let jade do videos like that wandering couples blog :p

I like the burstners...just that particular one seemed to put that guy off which was good for me as I got a sale out of it :)

I do look on mobile.de but right now there's better buys in the UK I'm afraid
Might be due to the exchange I don't know

I've an idea what I can live with and what i definately can't and that rules a lot of them out. A separate proper shower is a big factor

Ok well jades first night in the house hasnt gone great lol

My mum never allowed her dogs upstairs and although they were allowed in the living room during the day at night they slept in the kitchen so jade and her new bed were promptly settled in the kitchen last night when I went to bed.
Came down this morning and somehow she had managed to push the kitchen door open was lying in the middle of my mum's expensive rug....and too make matters worse she had pooped in the corner of the living room ( fortunately on the laminate) and peed in the bloody kitchen.

She's never ever done the toilet in the van
Just aswell my mum isn't here at the minute shed have throttled me.

I will have to fix the catch on this door

So she's not in my good books this morning
