And then there's New Year's eve! We live near the beach and firework parties are numerous.Your spot on. I wish they would ban the things or make it illegal to sell them way before the time and fine folk who let them off willy nilly. Sorry I can’t give your post a like. I know what your dog goes through.
Thankfully so far she hasn't been phased by fireworks ...we were out watching them on the feast of saint Juan in Spain and she wasn't bothered so hopefully that don't changeAnd then there's New Year's eve! We live near the beach and firework parties are numerous.
@Northernraider i think you'll find jades feelings/instincts about water are driven by her inbred traits. E.g.Labradors adore water and it's hard to keep them out of it. Other breeds not so.
Ours is a mongrel we got in Portugal in Feb 2017, like Jade she will happily walk along in shallow water but backs away from anything like waves. Whereas our previous Lab, couldn't get enough of it, the sea, rivers, streams anything.
However as said above all dogs can swim if they have to. Drowning probably happens in rough seas, like people drown even if they can swim.
Our Charlie is a springer spaniel, not keen on the sea but give him a muddy ditch, now that a different story.@Northernraider i think you'll find jades feelings/instincts about water are driven by her inbred traits. I have a confession..........
it all gets there eventually
I piss in the sea.......
It's rubbish, a typical Facebook scare round robin...
Notice the "source" is an unnamed 'vet' .
No links pointing to the scientific evidence.
Just Google ice cubes & dogs, plenty of contrary opinion from professionals.
Well, it certainly wasn't on Facebook and who said the vet was unnamed?
Like anything online it doesn't hurt to read it and bear it in mind, I'd rather have a live dog that doesn't eat another ice cube than a dead one because I knew best!
Oh, and your attitude stinks.

Yes I like that they look after them theres some right bruisers in there though I have to say.Great pics again, thanks Tam. Nice to see that "feeding station" for stray cats, it's good to know that they get help.
You park hereWhats the co ordinates of the caves and cliffs Tam?
Tell you what - I'd rather refuse a dog a treat than a ferret .I had a ferret that used to go mad for 99 cornetto !! including the bits of chocolate , had no effect on him at all ?
