Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

Well it is part owned by you...:D2

“Cost in the region of £350k each to the taxpayer”
Yep ...no surprise really the goverment and local authorities waste our money on stuff everyday and we just accept it.

It has loads of benefits too

No mot required
No restrictions on entering emmision zones etc.
And not a caravan :)

She ain't getting in while in that state!!!

Love it, A go anywhere camper as long as you can afford the fuel.
Exactly and to be honest my motorhome achieves 20mpg on average
That achieves 11mpg towing that trailer and fully loaded ....but it never gets stuck and can go almost everywhere.
Probably a lot better built too and less likely to keep breaking.

Looking forward to the interior shots later if the owner doesn't mind. I love quirky stuff like that.

In other new, would anyone like to buy my 2 bed flat in Aberdeenshire so I can hit the road for 6 months or so?

I'll ask if I can take a few pics.

Can't help you on the flat though lol

It was going so well until you said 11 mpg!!

Yeah it's heavy but with no mot and it being a sturdier vehicle I reckon it probably evens out over time.

My Winnebago journey had the 6ltr Cummins engine in, fantastic engine and that only did 8 mpg but boy did I have smiles per gallon. :D I think I got about 12 mpg on a good run once. (y)

I was expecting 8mpg.

Which 'gallon' are we talking about? US - i.e 8 x 16 fl. oz pints

Or UK - i.e 8 x 20 fl oz pints
I dunno he's an Englishman so I'm guessing he meant UK gallon

He's done a cracking job of the inside too.
The back has a full kitchen and a double bed and 2 bunk beds.

No toilet compartment or shower but he has an outside shower fitted which is partly heated by the sun and can be heated with gas

The reason for low fuel mpg is constant 6 wheel drive , and low gearing , max speed 100kmh . Fuel tank 180ltrs :)

Not too bad really

I had an Audi allroad that only got about 18 to the gallon ha ha and im rarely over 60mph in franky

If you don't like the maintenance cost with Franky , you would be looking for a tall structure with the Duro , ps your mpg with the allroad probably had something to do with velocity :)

I don't mind the maintenance cost with franky she hasn't been bad really.

Mmm just had a couple of teenagers going door to door round the van selling fresh traditional portuguese baked goods by her granny. ..savoury and sweet.

What can I say both my favourite things so I got one of each savoury and I was good and only got one cake :D

mmmm yum yum .....no idea what they are called.

Such a pessimist:p

I've had 3 of the savouries already while the mackerel is in the oven

One was a sort of spicy sausage roll ...and one was like a chicken tikka type think the other looked like a findus crispy pancake

There's always the odd nutter who likes to be different in wild spots.

I had read on park4night that this place was cleared out by the police fairly often and there was a few posts stressing not to put chairs etc outside but to go on the beach which frankly is less than 3 feet from most people's doors.

But already this morning there's a Dutch van with its awning out 4 chairs and a table sat outside lol.
And about 4 spaces up there's a set of levelling ramps , 2 small chairs and an a3 sheet of paper weighed down on the ground saying please leave space reserved

I've managed to stay here 2 nights so far with no issues it's a lovely wee spot nice beach nice view and it's quiet and peaceful.

Thanks to @Lenny HB for the camera app recommendation ...all my fotos now come with my location imbedded :) ..makes remembering where I was so much easier
