So this pair have hired this van here in Portugal.... €1000 for a week ....it looks like a budget converted Ducato outside shower 2 bunks basic 2 burner hob , sink and fridge.

One is a professional triathlon sportsperson and the other a competition level judo instructor ( I'm being polite to her )

The Spanish guy has been kicked to the kerb lol ....think I'm in there ha ha

Jades been sat sleeping on ingrids knee the last 45 mins lol

iceland on the algarve shopping centre have quite a lot of uk produce.

They're called Iceland overseas. Or something like that. They stock Iceland and waitrose products We used the one in Fuengirola for years. Very popular with ex pat community and had a proper butcher insitu.

I agree but this was like a self converted type thing ....it was ok but very basic I don't think it even had fresh and waste tanks fitted and what i though was a fridge was more cool box like

Well that was an enjoyable evening ...sadly it was their last day here so they left around 10 as they had to return the camper at 11 and fly back to Austria at 2pm

Got contact details though as if I do a second year in eastern Europe Austria is on my list of places to visit

I had to put a hoody on the night to take jade a walk and it's the first night I've had all the skylights closed in weeks

So I had to have a hot shower and I was expecting to have the usual mucking about with the water heater tripping bit it hasn t done it tonight which is strange ...so I've left it on just to see.

Depends on number of seats but here are some guidelines out of Valencia and e-vans do all Spain. All can be booked online.

So some young ned came speeding in to this parking spot earlier in an old mk3 fiesta xr2 tried to pull a handbrake turn failed miserably and ploughed straight in to the side of a german guys merc sprinter pvc. ...reversed back and took off out the carpark.

Several witnesses bit that didn't bother him none ....the owners weren't in the van but standing further up the carpark talking to other campers ....they ran down jumped in the van and took off after the young guy whose front bumper is dragging along the ground .....all happened too fast so I didn't get his number or that but can't be many bright red mk3 fiestas in this town surely


I was going to give chase on the scooter but I had stuff on the cooker and jade was out on her lead playing.

But with the van hasnt come back yet but here's hoping he caught the scumbag

Actually I remember getting my windscreen smashed with a cricket ball by a Muppet on a campsite in morcambe on my t4 multivan

I was raging as it was booked in for the concourse at tatton park the next day.

It's the first idiot we've had here I half to say

Guys vans in a right state .....sattelite dish was still up when he took off after the guy too....hate to imagine what was flying around inside it ...hes left chairs and a table outside so if assume he was coming back

Haha......had to google that one, where would we be without it!

I haven't got much hair but a bit more than those two, I think Coto had his head tattooed so we could tell them apart.

I picked my forum name from the literal Spanish as a little joke to myself many years ago (I thought 'Santiago' was a little pretentious but it is a common name in Spain) when we first started visiting Spain and became interested in Spanish architecture, religion and culture and partly because of the area we lived in Rochdale for many years.

I am not a 'matamoros' in any sense,I am not religious at all and love Islamic art and architecture.

BTW my avatar is the cover of the Santana album Caravanserai, I also like Latin music

I've no idea ...the van never came back but it was in a hell of a mess ...he left 2 rather smart chairs and a table lying where his van was parked which I saw a French dude take over to his van later last night.
I left there this morning went to the aire to empty and fill and then backtracked a bit to have a look around faro so I'm parked there just now and having a look around the old town.

Can't make sense of the sign in the carpark but this is where the wee guy in the carpark told me to park. ..theres a few motorhomes scattered around the carpark but all smaller than mine.

Not sure yet if I'll stay here overnight it's pretty noisy but will see what time I'm finished in town.
