Morning Ian ....yes the heat can get a little uncomfortable ....its mostly not being able to escape it though that's more the problem lol

It's quite cool just now but it won't last ha ha

I'm only awake because a group of young Spanish guys have turned up to go fishing and as usual noisy as feck lol

You wanna get your sheepskin seat covers, drape em over your back , grab an axe and make like a Viking ( as with your haircut) and go running at them, waving the axe and screaming. DEATH TO THE SPANISH INVADERS!! That might keep em quiet!!

Ha ha that was clean water straight from the aire tap.

She soon turned it dirty so she mist have needed a bath


She wasn't too pleased when I threw the bucket of water over her afterwards though

She's a cutey sometimes ....i was gonna throttle her earlier im getting fed up of her not coming back when called if there's anything worth eating in the vicinity

She nearly got hot with a car this morning because there was a bread roll lying on the ground and she wouldn't leave it and kept running away with it.

Yes, I have to agree, anything edible left lying about is a problem. They can /should be trained to leave it and respond to your command to come immediately but it takes some pretty intensive training and isn't always that easy.
One thing you must avoid though is sounding cross when you call her (which at times can be very difficult), coz then why would she want to leave that tasty scrap and come back to a grumpy dad.

Yes and that's where I struggle because it's very hard to sound inviting and cheerful when she's running in front of a car or jumping on someone who's getting annoyed at her
And then she runs off in the opposite direction.
Took me 20 minutes to get in her in the van this morning by which time there was steam coming out of my ears

So I moved along to jaen this morning

I'm in a large free carpark next door to the national police station and about a km from the town centre and cathedral etc.

There's like some sort of auditorium in the car park which is under cover and covers a fair bit of the car park spaces too. ...so I found a bit where I can park the van under the canopy in the shade the added bonus was I could climb up the steps and get on the van roof ......so not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth I clambered up with a bucket and sponge and some autoglym and gave the roof a good wash.

And then thought bugger it I may as well give it a coat of wax while I've the chance so I did that aswell

Result I now have a very clean and waxed roof again so hopefully it won't get as dirty as it was as I'm sick of all the mucky streaks running down the side

While I'm on a roll I thought I'd clean the fridge flu again as it's not been as cold

Given I only did this a month ago I'm quite surprised at the amount of spot that came out

Gas must be really dirty here or there's summit wrong with my fridge ....seems to work fine when you is clean though


I'm worried this is what's wrong with my water heater but it's not so easy to clean the flu on that.

If the flue is shooting up I would get a new jet and fit it the one you have may have been opened up a bit by a previous owner

You need better treats (dried liver chips work well) and you must never chase her. Or even walk after her. When you're somewhere with no-one about and no roads or traffic try hiding from her when she's not looking. Assuming she finds you give her a treat. Try it once each time you have her off the lead.

I've not used liver but I've tried chicken, sausage, and burger ...but when she's finding whole fish etc on the beach theres zero chance of her coming back for a little treat

I've tried not following her etc but she just goes walkabout and she follows other people aswell.

Sometimes she will eventually come after me if I start walking away but not always

With young dogs it often seems that they are going backwards with the training. I'm with Golly in using the lead again for a short time to remind them what's expected. The important thing is to keep her safe. Mine are now three and fairly well behaved but I still keep them on leads when there's traffic about.

Regarding having her spayed, have you considered having her done before her first season? I know there are mixed views on this but we had ours done when we adopted a brother and sister at six months old, on our vets advice.

About an hour and a half ago my peace was ruined when 2 young girls and a boy turned up with bloody drums and are practicing in this auditorium thingy majigy ....

My heed is nipping and jade is about demented ...i thought they'd have got bored by now and buggered off but they are still banging away


Can't be bothered moving till the morning lol

It's back to working fantastically again thankfully.
I don't know if it's maybe because I never take it off the gas even when driving.
But when I get someone to look at the eater heater I'll ask them to check the jet

Well I knew I should have trustee my gut last night when the little drummer boy and his assistants started but I decided to suffer it out and they finally buggered off about 9pm

I had dinner and watched a dvd and I went to bed around 11.45 it was lovely and quiet not a bit of noise.

Got woken up at 01.35 to an unbelievable volume of music and lots of loud voices etc.

I thought it was bloody boy racers again but on peering through the blinds I couldn't see anything.

I got up there some clothes on and nipped outside for a look and up on the roadside above the carpark there were hundreds of people all lining the street drinking etc and really loud music playing

I can only imagine it was some sort of celebration but I had to give up open the blinds and drive out to find somewhere to sleep .....pulled in to a wee town about 5km out of jaen parked up in a quiet street and went back to bed.

Woke up this morning to some very strange looks lol so hightailed it out of there and drove an hour down the road towards Granada.

I'm parked up beside another wee reservoir just now , had some breakfast and now going for a wee walk to explore
This is Where I am now
