Tam & co the great winter escape

Decided to put a few hours in on the road today and 3 hours later im in Thermopylae....where i turned back last year . There was a little snow on the way through the mountains but not much but going by all the snow ploughs sitting roadside i reckon its forecast. So im now at the springs which are amazing ....so im going to have some lunch then im going in my little private pool ive secured lol . There's several campers here ... different from the spot i found last year this is far more impressive . 39 degrees thermal pool? I would stay there for a few weeks until the weather clears, I would only be out of those pools for a few hours sleep lol, looks fantastic!

Have the dogs been in?
Milo and jade have had a paddle but ela not sure of water still . Milo can't swim in it as there's quite a bit of current...its quite fast flowing .

Im shrivelled like a prune now ...ill be going in again in the morning thats for sure

and the Merc's (Hanomag's) T2 VW's in fact MOST of what Tam has shown us? :giggle:
Yep thats why i like finding these old wrecks. Here they are worthless. In the uk they are worth a fortune even in the sorry state some of these are in.

Wow! They are still really stylish now. I seem to remember they raised and lowered their suspension, or have I got that wrong?

Is that pink one too far gone to resurrect.

Yup and it's ruddy expensive if it goes wrong ... we had a Citroen DS and it cost us a packet.

Yes the hydraulic suspension was a trademark of citroen ...it ran right up to the 90's on the bx ... expensive to repair though

Think that pink one is too far gone ...if you could prise it out of the garden centres hands

About forty three years ago I rode in the back of one of those Citroen DS’s to a wedding in the countryside north east of Paris. I still remember the exceptionally smooth ride.

Not many people know that. Personally I’d rather have the Citroen van with the corrugated iron sides!!

I believe rolls Royce used the Citroen suspension for a while
