Not saying there’s anything wrong with it but the Merc looks like it was a horse box in a former life.
Very expensive company in germany builds these bodies .....i believe that would be around €200k when first built. The 4x4 pickup base would have been eyewatering by itself.

’How much’. 🤣 Would it have started life as a motorhome then? I wonder what its like inside.

The chassis cab might have started life as a pickup or something unless bought new to be used as a camper . But the camper body itself is by woelke who build boxes for overland trucks etc ...they aren't cheap thats for sure. But they build bodies for all different trucks

I met a german guy at analipsi last year who had his built in 2013 on to a brand new chassis cab and it was similar size to that one, he said the truck was €90k and the body €170k 😱

Tam & others, I Looked on your website link to Woelcke Trucks & conversions, found the nearest to a Merc 4x4, its an Iveco 4x4 double cab base.(see below)
Looks like a good piece of well designed kit, even though its priced at 333,000 EU:eek: at 2020 prices!
But I was taken aback & disappointed in that it is supposedly a 4 birth vehicle, its "Empty Weight" is 6330KG's, Max Permitted weight is 7000 KG's leaving its overall tiny payload at 670 KG's:unsure:
Those figures would need checking out surely, as it wouldn't be useable, once the tanks are filled and put 4 people in it.
Its not just Autotrail or a few others that have dodgy unusable payloads, but I didn't expect to find payload problems on such an expensive, bespoke vehicle.
Have fun.

These trucks are usually just used by couples so then, compared with others (but I know where your coming from) not bad but, I would imagine, they could easily be uprated.

Most are useless off road too .....ok for deep puddles but thats about it.

Ela has had her vaccination booster and an examination ....all is good .she has gained a little bit of weight from the 16.2kg she was to 16.7 so not too bad. This vet reckons shes only about 11 months old though so 🤷🏻‍♂️ i originally thought she was between 6 months and 1 year but first vet said 18 months ...who knows but at least everything seems ok with her.

I got jade and milo new harnesses too so they all have new ones now.

Tam, thank you for the info on the trucks, they are amazing vehicles but the cost is awesome but then again if I know more about them I may think them worth the money. I would love to have a drive of one of them.

The dogs look well cute in their new harness's and are such posers.

After a walk around the old town of napflio and doing a food shop ive parked up at karathonas bay for tonight ...took the dogs along the beach so they could burn of some energy as the constant wrestling theyve been doing today is hard going.

Dog Cred… love it.

Is Ella getting in the van ok now. Great pics as usual especially the ones of the old mercs. (y)
Yes as long as she's on the lead ...so she only gets to trail a rope now when running free . It helps to get hold of her again . She's getting better all the time .still nervous now and then but might be like that for a while yet

She’s such a lucky dog to have found a loving home with you. The photo of her snuggling up with Milo was heartwarming!
Yes jade and milo have accepted ber in to the pack ...theres still the odd dispute between them and Ela is a bit clumsy and doesn't know her own strength at times but its nice to see them all get on . Like the other 2 she's got a lovely nature i can't understand why anyone would abandon her.

Their loss my gain

Cold and windy today it feels like home .. fortunately the temperature is due to rise again from tomorrow but forecast for -1 tonight ...its blooming cauld. Have moved to ermionida today at the old abandoned hotel at the beach and near the didyma sinkholes .

Judging by your weather forecasts you would have been better staying on Lenny’s drive in the south of England. Saved on miles and money. You could have passed your evenings learning about electrics. 😂😂

If i was only going away for the weather id have driven to benidorm and parked up with all the other one foot in the grave brigade 😁.

Are most of the stray dogs pets that have been abandoned or are they born feral? It’s hard to imagine how anyone could just dump an animal and leave it to fend for itself.

A mix of both i reckon. Ela has definitely been dumped or possibly ran away from last owner. But most likely dumped. She's nothing like the normal type of dogs you get around greece. Most of the strays are bigger sheperd types. Very few small strays bar puppies
