Tam & co the great winter escape

Now parked at the beach at kastraki .....the first pic is the archeological site behind us ... Stopped here last year but as 4 other vans arrived after us making 10 total the police moved us around 6.30pm so hoping theres not the same tonight. ...big double cab vario motorhome came in earlier 2 adults 5 teenagers

Thats a screenshot of last years polarsteps route right through kyparissia ...we didn't like the parking spots available so just kept going .... everything was closed aswell

The beauty of self builds . It probably started off as a pickup and then they've mounted a box on the back and built an overcab on to that.

Hoping to get a few closer pics of it tomorrow those were taken from the air
 
It’s great that you have Jackie Tam, it’s good to have company with a good friend even if you don’t think so sometimes. It also helps that she goes off on her own to give each other some space too… although this is your thread of your travels I feel that she adds to it in your own words and it’s great to see you enjoying your time together….😌

Has she not thought of coming on here and giving her side of the travels..? Im sure she has some fans on here…😊

With some of the comments Tam has made about Jackie I don't think he'd survive long if she read them and we'd never find his body as she'd be able to bury it somewhere 'remote' in Greece! :giggle:
 
Absolutely throwing it down today and forecast looks much the same for the next few days .....none of the dogs wanted to go out this morning .... can't blame them i wasn't keen either. Ela really doesn't like the dark or the rain ...planned to move again today and i was going to go check out gerakas incase i missed anything but I'm not sure it will be much fun in the rain

Ela is probably used to hunkering down when its dark or wet. We had a Romanian rescue some years ago. We returned home from a trip in the car, it was really hammering down. He wouldn't budge. No treat, force, cajoling could shift him. He was quite content curled up in a tight ball on the back seat so we left him there for half hour until the rain stopped.
 
A few of my neighbours today ....some nice wagons ......and the old abandoned bus i saw last year ....i climbed on the roof to have a pic taken ... nearly killed myself. If it hadnt been raining id have recreated eddie vedars album cover of in to the wild with me ukelele 🤣🤣

Stoppedby gerakas port but it was quite dull and depressing and not a good spot for big vans ...had to do a 10 point turn at the end overhanging the jetty ....got out of there fast and followed the coast road again to kyparissi have stopped just north of the village before the new road starts. Have managed to pick up free local wifi too which is a bonus

What I don't get though is why the camoflage Concorde has left the white lettering on show ... it just looks daft! :giggle:

Ive just arrived at leonidio ....left jackie back in kyparissi she's dying her hair lol.

Not decided if im staying here yet or not or whether ill move on to agios andreas but we will have lunch and a walk around before deciding.
