Just had the same carry on again tonight taking her out for a last pee. She don't want to go out ...i have to carry her which isnt easy as she sticks her big legs oot and its hard getting through the door ...put her down and she's scrambling to get in ....calms down eventually but then tries to hide under the van etc ...its almost like she's scared of the dark. Im hoping that gets better .

But needless to say she didn't do anything so again hopefully she holds anything till morning as i got no sleep last night so im knackered tonight. .

We are all tucked up in bed now ....shes settled and sleeping .

Im not sure carrying her out the van is helping the situation but no amount of coaxing seems to work so im at a loss on that score ....i can only hope in time she learns to trust me that im not throwing her out.

Thats jade's seat ...she won't give it up without a fight.

I think ela may well be dog number 3 &4

What about feeding her outside but she has to get out herself if she wants it?

It does seem like she thinks she's being thrown out for the night. When she's inside she looks so content and settled. Looks like she's always been there.
My rescue dog (a sort of JRT from Manchester dogs home) won't wee or poo in my back yard. She has to go on grass so I have to take her out to some. I take her about 7pm and she doesn't go again until 11am the next day! Wish I had a bladder like her!

Our Paddy had bladder problems when he came from Romania. He is on special meal to help but he won’t go up the garden before going to bed. I take him for a short walk at about nine. If I am busy in the mornings he can wait until about half ten to go again.
Like others I wish I could last as long as him.

Yes my 3 are the same ... whenever one goes near them they go cower in the cab ...its ridiculous. Milo has no fear when it comes to other dogs even ones that are 10 times his size ...but a fly in the van he's a nervous wreck ...ive to go around swatting them all before they will come back the van. I thought ela might be different as she was used to them but nope ... now all 3 squeeze themselves in to the cab lol.

Just a passport , microchip and prokf of rabies vaccination ..but im also having all her other vaccines done too and having some blood tests done just to make sure she's not needing anythig treated.

Will need a second jab for dhpp a month later.

I wont get her spayed just now as she wont be out my sight anyway ....ill wait and have her done later.

Then she's good to go

The consensus seems to be now to let dogs have their first heat before spaying them, they did say it didn't matter when our Tazzy was done about 10 years ago but that's changed again to letting them have one so I assume they have found more health benefits to waiting. I strongly recommend you invest in a pair of heat pants for her as, apart from stopping any male dogs being able to mate with her, they will certainly ensure that you don't get any 'mess' in the camper and it will also discourage her from licking all the time and making herself sore.

Our Tazzy will do a wee on the grass but not a poo, she has to find somewhere in our shrubs to do the necessary and that takes her an absolute age as she is SOOOOOO fussy about finding the exact spot! Drives me nuts on a night when I'm having to go out with her to chivvy her on and make sure she doesn't try to 'clean' it up afterwards which I then have to do in the daytime playing a game of 'hunt the poo'!

When we're away in the MH it's a nightmare as I have to try to find some suitably shrubby although she will accept a fairly 'tufty' bit of grass if she's desperate, otherwise we can be out there for ages with no 'production'.

Jade is like that she can go about 12 hours lol

I find great satisfaction by swatting them with one of those electric tennis racket lookalike thing,

I like them too. They are very effective on wasps which are slower than flies but if you trap the fly on and flat surface they work very well. I often find they’re only stunned and pick them up and throw them out before they come round.
My driver once tried to zap a fly that was on his arm that went well….

She was a little better at going out on the lead this morning ...still a little struggle and wanted straight back in but i didn't have to carry her at least ...got her morning wee done with the others . Just having breakfast then its walkie time before we head to the vets ...

a quick tip to save you money on flea treatment tam.......nothing.....and I mean nothing works better than washing your dog in green fairy liquid, believe me its amazing.......must be green fairy though

Heat pants ... example below - pet stores etc should have them. You have to remove them for the dog to toilet and put a pad in them which is changed when necessary but you don't need to buy the 'proper' ones as ladies' pantie liners work well and are cheap ... but that means you'd have to mooch round the lady products section of a supermarket!
