Ok so i cheated 🤷🏻‍♂️ i went for it and just picked her up and carried her in the van . She seems quite settled as do my two . Hopefully she will just settle down now and we will all just act as normal and see how we get on . But she's out of the cold and wet which its really chucking it down now ...the sea is wild .

Im going to cook dinner soon so she will get a nice meal with jade and milo . Ill have to try the collar at some point but plenty time for that

Nice one Tam.
Hope she settles, she looks comfortable.
Good luck(y)

Jade is a little bit strange but i remember she did the same with milo the first day or two ....milo not a care in the world and ela very relaxed .... The next few days will most likely be strange and testing but i think overall they will all be fine . Im just glad she is in out that weather .

You must feel real chuffed 👌
Im relieved id say ...once i decided i wanted her which was probably tuesday or Wednesday its been quite stressful really ...i think she wants to be with us shes just wary ....im being stared at just now with big doe eyes. She has such a great personality i think she will make a great companion to both myself and jade and milo .. ...even my mum has been saying how lovely she looks and i should adopt her. Id deliberately not said to mum i was considering it as i thought she'd try to talk me out of it ...i resisted mentioning it too much on here too till yesterday but i had made my mind up long before that hence the trip to the vet on thursday etc.

She seems very chilled right now which is great and better than i had anticipated.

Well done Tam. If she settles and you definitely keep her, I'll be sending a photo to Silvia. She'll be chuffed (Spanish version, anyway) 😂.
The only reason i wont be keeping her is if she somehow runs away .....otherwise she is one of us now as far as im concerned . Come what may. Ill see how we get on tonight ...taking her out for a pee later is my worry at present but if we all survive tonight im going to move a few miles down the road tomorrow so we are away from all these other dogs . And then ill do the vets on monday. She will no doubt be strange at first in the van when we move but like jade and Milo she will get used to that.

That's wonderful Tam, she's beautiful.

What a very lucky dog!

See if you can get a collar on her now she in the van with you, then take her out for a pee on a lead for a while, otherwise she may well run off to start with ..

She's a daft bitch if she does a runner 😂

For what it's worth, it did occur to me that the dogs reluctance in going into your van may have been that on an occasion in her short life she did go into another van and either was punished or frightened somehow by the experience.

It doesn't take much to spook a dog and this one doesn't have a large memory bank, being so young, to compare and contrast.

By doing what you have done, you have probably nullified anything that happened previously. (If it did?)

Caption should read

"Why didn't you tell that it is 5* in here - and free?

Don't you speak doggie Greek?"

Don't worry Ella Mou, he is Scottish. But teach him 'Ella Dho!'(Come here) when you want him to throw your stick.

You will soon get him trained to do what humans are supposed to do. :giggle: :giggle:

[Good move Tam, if she came willingly probably the steps were the problem]

Well she's certainly chilled out now .

Ive also now got her collar on ....in fact its been off and on 4 times while i adjusted it 🤣🤣 .

Ive a massive pot of tatties and carrots on and pork chops ....im going to spoil all 3 of them tonight with nice tasty dinner .

Seating space has become a little bit harder in here ...she isn't half tall when she spreads out and her head is twice the size of jade's at least .

But im happy as a pig in shit 😁

I hope she is house trained or it could get messy in there.:xsmile:
Yeah that could be a problem. Ill take her out on a lead later for the toilet before bed. Milo never once done the loo inside so im hoping to be lucky. I imagine her packages will be considerably more than jade and milo .....not sure im prepared for that yet. Ive a feeling she may just end up a bit of a big dog .

I'm so pleased for you all, Tam. I think you're all very lucky.
She's a beautiful dog, and I strongly suspect you'll have no problems with house training. Most dogs like to be clean in their living space, and she's not a puppy, so she'll have control over when and where she does it. Provided you take her out regularly and give her the chance to relieve herself outside, I think you'll be fine 🤞 .
