Tam & co the great winter escape

Tam get the weather app ventusky gives the big picture and you can zoom in for a better guess at local conditions.
Its winter in southern Europe and all the locals are praying for rain after the hot dry summer reservoirs are way below where they need to be. Hope it improves for u soon.

One thing i must say with this cheap van is that is has without doubt the best oven , grill and hob ive had in any van .... Easy to operate , easy to keep clean , even cooking , i think ill be trying to source similar for the vario .

Makes very good toast in seconds

I grew up with the famous 5 ... lashings and lashings of lurpack and greek cherry jam ....mmmm

Been watching the vloggers in Turkey, they are having OK weather, and there are endless wild spots, great cheap food places, friendly people, get your bum over there quickly, you are missing out weather wise in Greece.
Check out "Overlanding Sophia" & "Tread the Globe" for some pointers, for places to head to after Istanbul if you have enough data that is.
Warning: Marianna will get on your nerves after a while, she is too hyper!..."Whoo Who!" but very good info of places passed on, with good editing & drone footage also.
Don't watch last weeks episode of Overlanding Sophia, she was, and will have all the dog lovers that watch it in tears, having to make the decision to leave a street dog that just feel in love with them, and they with it.
Spoiler alert, this one.

Crossing over to Peloponnese now ....on the ferry behind a vario so you can see the difference in van sizes ...my vario is a foot longer than that one but otherwise the same

There is an obscene amount of flooding around this year ....ive had to drive through a few and the place i had picked to park tonight i cant reach because the road is under water so im parked up in a small picnic spot but i sincerely hope it doesn't rain any more before morning or i will be surrounded by water. This isnt a lake .....its rainwater. I spoke to a greek man earlier who said theyve had nearly 4 months of rain in the last 2/3 weeks

The road bridge costs €30 to cross wheras the ferry is €11

No way jose im paying €30 to cross a bridge the same length as the forth crossing back home ...

Seems expensive now, I'm sure when we went 2015 the bridge was either €7 or €9 and the boat was €2 cheaper.

No idea but for this size of van its now €30

The ferry is €11

I think last year it was €26 but i used the ferry then too

Bloody fresh water tank fell off today went over a rail crossing and i think that must have done it ....of course i never noticed as i was rocking out to neil young playing like a hurricane so i drove a mile or so trailing it under the bloody van ...the crappy straps they had fitted it with have snapped ...so its currently in the van . But i will have to find a way to tie it up or fit it on bike carrier as its in the way
