Tam & co the great winter escape

Tam did say he wanted to spend a few more days out of Shengen before crossing into Greece.
I guess they are just keeping their heads down for a while and have little mobile coverage.
I'm sure everything will get back on track soon.

Richard.
He must be in Greece by now as he was at the border crossing at Kanispol yesterday.

Hello hello hello ....

Unfortunately jackies internet and phone got cut off so we've been incognito the last 3 days and just bummin it .

Just crossed border in to greece but hadnt done plf forms etc with no internet and its a bit of a palava coming from albania ...had to have covid test done etc ..so im through and sat waiting on jackie who's still getting tested. Deja vou from last year so im hoping she doesn't have a repeat lol.

Its taken 45 minutes to cross this border so far

Edit

Jackie has now just driven straight through passport check and customs without stopping 🤦‍♂️🤣🤣🤣 ive had to send her back lol .... honestly i dont know how she hasn't been arrested at any of these crossings lol

Not a great start but just arrived at the little bay in sivota i stayed at last year ....its deserted but lots of new signs now saying no camping and the last few review's on park4night say lots of trouble from police ...☹️ I hope that isn't going to be the case throughout greece this time. . Weather not great very stormy .

No idea where jackie has got to ...she stopped in igoumenitsa but was meant to meet me here

That's a shame, that was one of my favourite places you went to.
Yes mine too ...very disappointed as it was a lovely spot and a nice little town .

Ive driven a little south to karivostasi and another little bay ... hopefully I get left in peace here ...jackie is still in igoumenitsa at the vodaphone shop trying to sort out her internet .
The first 3 photos are from sivota ....the others are from where i am now .

Can i ask a favour of those who follow my polarsteps to leave at least a like on the steps i post on it so it seems worthwhile doing it ....at the minute it looks like only 4 or 5 people actually view them

I think from here im going to head inland a little this time as i would like to see the meteora monestaries and try to take pics with the drone before i head any further south . Depending whether i get moved on from here will decide whether i head that way tomorrow or Wednesday as im a little weary from driving.

Sea is amazing here ...

I'm logging all your stopovers for our trip next year!! It's definitely worthwhile so please carry on. I'll go back in and 'Like' them all! I'm very envious!

For some reason my polar steps thing still has you in Albania, don't know why.

Have been likening but under my name rather than Lesanda which is the boat name, keep em coming. There are many super places in Epirus (I lived there for several years), Parga is nice as you are passing and used to be open for business all year round to a good extent.

Meteora Monestaries are so well worth visiting, hopefully it won’t be too busy at this time of the year & finding parking will be easier. We stayed down at Kalambaka the night before.

Hee, hee, should be able to try out those chains, well what do expect heading for the mountains in winter.

P.S. I thought you went south for sunshine & warmth.

Edit:
Looks like you were putting the chains on while I was typing.
