I had a nice wee supply of soup stored away for my trip as ye can't get good soup in Europe

That's because you are a tight Scot and don't spend any money in restaurants.

Vegetable soup in Portugal is excellent, some great fish soups in France and Spain, in Germany the goulash soup is like a meal and their onion soup with an egg poaching in it is good.

In France they are quite happy for you to take dogs into restaurants, you could then run home with them to keep warm.

The very weird thing is ...out of all the flavours they do the chicken noodle is the only one that is not in a ring pull can. Which means I even have to open the blooming Tin for her lol View attachment 656377

Mum's car passed its mot at 11.30 , I hoovered it , gave it a wash. Put it on gumtree at 14.25 and had 27 texts and 6 phone calls within 20 minutes the woman that called literally 3 minutes after I posted the add had arranged to view it at 3.45pm and bought it at 3.55 for full asking price. That's pretty good going

And a grand more than we buy any car had offered.

You are right of course but some of the simplest things are terrible if you get them wrong and we know you start with a good stock, so yes get that right and the seasoning right and the balance of actual chicken and noodles and sweet corn , just a minute! It doesn’t sound that simple at all.

Freestyle mainly but starts with a cheep packet of wings and thighs, stock and anything I can Chuck in form the fridge that’s not getting used….

I hate food waste and anything that’s out of date gets chucked in together and fried/roasted or boiled then eaten….

I think the tinned variety is recycled .

I quite like sweetcorn but only from tins, one benefit is if there is any left you can feed it to the dogs which makes finding their poo easier when it's dark as it has yellow speckling which shows up easily when a torch is shone near it!
