Tam & co the great winter escape

Theres also what i assume to be travellers. 1 motorhome and 1 caravan .. they have parked on the grass near the football ground , generators , tables and chairs out , dog cages ..

We called there for coffee on Monday morning. We used the 1st entrance on right after going under the railway bridge and then round by the Pavilion to get onto the Queens drive.

There were three vans there that looked they had been there overnight.
We walked up towards the harbour and the group you described were there then abt 11am. There were mh's all over the place trying to wedge into a place and 3 more arrived whilst we were there. We walked back to the van and drove off.

It was the same at Elie on Sunday afternoon. Fortunately we didn't drive down as it was totally gridlocked with MH's.

The demand presumably being for free parking spots.
Yep.

Like i said ive been coming to this spot over 25 years...its always been popular and as far as i know its never been a problem for locals...

The sign is new ive not seen it before

Another 2 in now so must be easily 20 vans here now .. most are only a few years old , most are brit registered, 2 french and one german parked up but theres been a few drove in and back out again too.

It’s one of our favourite spots but with all the new motorhomers since covid its just gets too crowded, drove past one Friday last summer & there was over 30 vans. & the place was a tip.
i can see the council banning vans altogether.
Theres a few here but i have to say theres no rubbish around. Very clean and tidy

Bloody idiots they really wind me, they have not got a clue about the problems they cause for the rest of us.
2 long term stayers………3 years!!!!
We love to go there.. usually on a Sunday, just as weekenders are leaving.
I usually speak to the long term stayers for them to suggest that I am lucky to have a space as Friday and Saturday saw 40/50 Vans!
For us .. the best time is the very beginning of the week is best! Always less than 10 vans👍👍

Another lovely sunny day today. Had a walk along the beach

Good on You Tam! I am glad he has seen the vet and I am very glad that he has shown no further signs of having problems at present.
I assume that I am probably the "impatient" one you speak of, I make no apologies, his "symptoms" appeared to come out of nowhere.were quite dramatic and unexpected , my immeadiate reaction, as someone who has kept and worked wirh multiple dogs for a lot of the last 68 years would still be that he needed to see a vet promptly.
Learning he has a heart murmur comes as somewhat of a relief to me: My late Mother had a heart murmur and contined living an active life for 86 years.
I owned and successfully competed in International Endurance Races (100 miles in 24 hours) on my Arab Stallion, he was diagnosed with a heart murmur at the age of six but continued to meet all the required veterinary parameters and win races til the age of 12, at which age I retired him and for the next 12 years he lived happily at home siring foals.
I believe at that time a number of top athletes had heart murmurs.
I am delighted for the present and hopefully forseeable future Milo is well.

Now down at tayport for the day ...£50 in diesel doesn't go far these days ☹️

Took the scooter off for a wee shot as I've not really ridden it since buying it .. it will do the job at least . But the topbox fell off going along the main road which could have been expensive had it hit a car. So i had to carry that back ...bloody mounting plate wasn't fitted properly .

You were lucky, that could have gone soooo wrong.

I gave in to the temptation and had a fish supper for dinner.. gotta have a treat now and then. It was lovely.....but nothing i cant actually live without so i won't be having another for a while... Only thought after id bought it that a small portion would have done.

Nice sunset tonight and it was daylight till 23.30 tonight. But the rain has just started

Those fish n chips look lovely, were they from the one in Tayport?
The Indian take away from the pub in Tayport was lovely.
Yes i hummed and hawed for over an hour as to whether to get one or not lol....i originally wanted a haggis supper but after discovering there were more calories in one than a fish i decided on a fish supper. They cook to order so it was nice and fresh . Dogs had some too as there was too much

How much for your Fish & Chips? It's got silly down here an OAP F&C now £7.
Well the shop i work in its now £9.50 for a fish supper and £10 for a special fish ( breadcrumbs instead of batter)

Small fish is £8.50 i think

The one here was £8.60
