Tam & co the great winter escape

I do not have any of these sophisticated monitoring systems

I just have a voltmeter display for each bank of batteries, which I monitor each day so can see a trend of discharge. Also it tells me when the EHU or the B2B is charging.

I think that those who have the clever systems seems to post worries more than those of us with simple ways of checking.

Give our love to Bergues in the morning on your quick dash past the geese, through the arch for morning croissant.
Don't say that I get a croissant shaped object from the supermarket and that's when on holiday.... Bread at toast usually if not mouldy!🤢🤢🤢🤣🤣🤣

What a difference it makes touching in the scratches on the grey stripe along bottom, painting the wheels and fitting new wheel trims.

Not polished it up yet but it should look minted once done

How did you manage to find an exact colour match for the Grey stripe, Thanks.

Nice!

Are those 225 75 16 tyres?

They do look small!

Is the front track narrower than the rear?

I agree to an extent but last year I had a problem that would have been very difficult find quickly without an Ah meter. I had a 238Ah battery, standard Schaudt charger, and 300W+ solar with a MPPT solar regulator. The battery, apparently fully charged, discharged within 1-2 days. The solar regulator was doing its thing and by lunchtime or so the battery was fully charged with solar down to a trickle. Once on EHU I was able to see that from fully charged I had available 30Ah before battery voltage was down to 12v or less. The battery, which was just over 2 years old, was top charging and effectively dead. The battery was a Bosch and had spent a long time on 13.8v trickle during lock-down. I think it took offence at being awakened. Anyway I consider myself very familiar with battery and charging systems but it still took me over week to work out what was going on mainly because I made assumptions about the state of the battery. Using voltage readings alone there was no fault to be seen.

I can't decide whether to refitt the cycle carrier brackets on the rear end just incase i ever want to use the bike rack ...or in case i sell it and the next owner wants a bike rack. The racks arent worth much second hand but it could be vital to a next owner.

It also would take care of the holes in the back that are not in a straight line so not so easy to cover.

Sounds sensible to refit.

Great for hanging wet towels and stuff 👍

I don't want to keep the rack on the back though as it would get in the way of a scooter rack . So just the brackets im thinking.

The rack is now wrapped in plastic with the rear ladder and stored behind the shed 🤣
