Tam & co the great winter escape

I’m not disagreeing , imo you should get as much as you can for it

BUT

if the ferry/ tunnel / fuel/ campsites / shops etc put up their prices due to supply & demand
you have strong views , calling them greedy / rip off merchants etc

you’ve had no price increase but you put up your price

Seems it’s do as I say not as I do 🥺
No ive put up the advertised price to get the end price i want.

I don't recall being able to haggle the price of a campsite ,ferry ticket or tunnel price.

My price is still the same 3.5k i wanted originally. But it seems advertising it for £3650 to get 3500 wasn't enough .

Looks like a full size workshop job.
Nah its in that little locker there.

Minted inc motor mover , no damp or dents etc

what they are asking is not necessarily what they are achieving

we will be living in this for the next 6 - 12 month while we build our new home

our MoHo is brand new so didn’t want to wear it out by living in it

next problem we have is comfort insurance (MoHo) say we must be on the electoral roll
or want full time rates , there is no house & no postal address so no rates , looks like I need to find a new insurance company soon 🤕

Granted . But then as i said a few days ago im not fussed if this one sells or not. It can sit there for another 6 months if need be . But i reckon by the amount of interest ive had so far it will be gone in a week or so. There's always bargains to be had out there . I got one when i bought it , same with the motorhome. But both are also a lot cleaner than they were when i purchased them and ive found that makes all the difference.

As for insurance i think unless you use someone else's address you'll have that issue with all the companies

I can't decide whether to refitt the cycle carrier brackets on the rear end just incase i ever want to use the bike rack ...or in case i sell it and the next owner wants a bike rack. The racks arent worth much second hand but it could be vital to a next owner.

It also would take care of the holes in the back that are not in a straight line so not so easy to cover.
Our Euramibil came with the bike rack fittings but no rack which was fine for us as, like you, we wanted to fit a scooter rack on the tow ball. Definitely worth refitt in case whoever buys it when you come to sell wants a rack.

It is easy enough to get a post code - you just need to have a letterbox that Royal Mail can deliver to. Once you have an address you can surely register to vote and get on the electoral roll.

When we built on our plot,

It was
The caravan,
The plot
The lane off xxx Street
Yy Town
Cfxx 8yz

Postcode originally for the existing road.
No issue whatever.
Then when built we applied for a proper postcode.

I have an address ready to activate ( Royal Mail apparently give out addresses)
if I register as living in the caravan I pay £1000 a year council tax straight away
if I go full time insurance it’s probably go into cost £1000 a year
IF there is a insurance company that doesn’t need me to be on the electoral roll
I can save aprox £500 - £700

But you have a site?

just put a name on it and a postbox, then tell Royal Mail and bingo, an address, how else will you get your materials ?

Don’t think you have read the post above yours #5653

I have provision for address inc post code

I can inform you that the address for your new development is as shown on our drawing number LP/21/7516. I can also confirm that the Statutory Authorities have been informed.
The address allocated to your development is: East Blackmoss Strathaven
ML10 6RP
(Please note that the provision of postcodes is a Royal Mail function.)
Once built, the postal address for the property/properties can be activated by the Royal Mail

we are hijacking tams thread so enough said about it , I’ll start a new thread

Not problem, sometimes one’s response to a tread is as you read it, therefore not following the tread through to the next post.
And repeating the obvious, that you already know.
But then you did post the question.
