Tam & co the great winter escape

It looks massive though and im not keen on massive
Now this will make you cringe, there is a campsite on an island in the middle of the river in the centre of the city. The parliament buildings are awesome, outside & inside, inside everything is gold leafed.
We flew & hired an apartment, found it much more interesting than Prague.

No hoodies my size either

Dogs did better than me ...this is all i got

But it did cost less than 15 quid for the lot

Just to chip in here on the Budapest debate. We were there a couple of years ago and the park that sits on the river is huge, even for a big city. Would recommend a visit to Tam or anyone else who might be passing.

Diesel is £101 here . Guess who Fiddlesticksin filled up before leaving Romania.

And the speed cameras are sneaky

I had a few cars flash headlights at me so i expected a police or border guard check ....3 miles later i see a black unmarked suzuki swift of all cars parked at the side of the road at an angle with a dirty great camera pointed out the open passenger window. Id have never paid that any attention if cars hadn't flashed.

Now in mezotur for the night . Quiet wee park up next to a huge park

Many years since we were in Budapest, I remember many of the buildings were dilapidated but there was a McDonald's on every corner.
We travelled along the river by crowded tram but 3 guys got on then put on red arm bands and started to check tickets The bell was rung and when it slowed there was a mass exodus of people.

Tam on lunchtime news they had a reported in Budapest. Behind him was a huge amount of refugees who had arrived for processing. So be careful if you do go
