Tam and Toby ~~ Hunting Zorba .....Take two.

I wasn't far off at €60 guage showing just below full line ...but the car filling next to me they were asking someone else in broken english how you got change as they had put in to much.
It wasn't a phenomenal saving as most of the ones in italy seem to be €1.22 at present but at 50+ litres it was about € 6
Better in ma pooch as my dad used to say

Do you have to enter the number of ltrs or the amount in € ?

You can see something like this in San Marino in early October at Rally Legends.

No normally with card you just put it in first and it will then take whatever you've used.
With cash you just put notes in before taking fuel
I put €60 in as I knew it would take at least that as I was below the quarter
But didn't know if it would take €70
But if I had put 70 in and it had stopped at say 61.50 ....no idea how you would get your change as there was no coin bit on the machine

Here ..some bugger might have reminded me that the clocks went back last night
I wondered why my van clocks were different from my phone

Spain announced a State of Emergency until May with a curfew. Italy announced tighter restrictions on restaurants to stop serving at 6pm.

Thanks for all the news and photos. They're really keeping us going. You're doing a public service and deserve a medal for keeping us all looking forward to the day when we can get back on the road.
Went to San Marino years ago and thought it was amazing. It's back on the list now.

It is lovely and lives up to the expectations of it .... definitely my favourite stop so far in Italy
Hang on, you just said it was a country - so you aren't in Italy 😉

The phone and tablet changed themselves as normal bit the van dash and control panels didn't obviously

Driving here I'm looking and thinking it's getting very dark for 5pm lol

I don't need any excitement at customs

going through customs in Amsterdam last month , we had only essential items in a plastic bag After MH breakdown , the woman put her hand into the bag and s##t herself when she accidentally pushed the trigger of our hand held dyson , we had a bit of explaining to do BUT we all ended up rolling about laughing 🥺

I have to admit that's not what I'd have classed as an essential item

Just aswell you're not in wales

Work on Tam Time... what does it matter what clocks say?
There's dug time...
If its light go out.
If its dark stay in.
Exactly the clocks changing only matters if you're working or having to fit in with others timetables. when travelling I'm just living by the daylight. Glad we're heading South though as we currently have 47 minutes more daylight than my home town just now. Not that I'm counting 😂

What's stopping you being on the road? BUSBY.

That's exactly my point though I dinnae like moving to a new spot in the dark so when I set off it was really an hour later than I thought so it got darker quicker

Shame,,that's why we have to return better halves appointment with her specialist, Its a bugger getting older.BUSBY.
It is. John had an unexplained blackout 18 months ago and had a heart monitor fitted. Nothing happened since and we'll probably never know what happened. We can't go abroad for another 18 months because of insurance (it's an undiagnosed condition) but we have spent a few months touring the Uk.
Miss the fun and excitement of being in Europe a lot though.
Hope the appointment goes well for 'the missus'.

I knew the clocks changed but don't know how to change my watch, I'll just have to live with it til I meet a tech savvy child!🤔

Yes thats what the couple had done ...

I know roughly how much mine takes from the quarter tank usually to fill it ...but of course it does vary if theres a big amount between price per litre ...for example germany was €1.01 and italy is around €1.22
San Marino was in the middle and i was a bit lower than quarter on this occasion so i knew it would definitely take 60 but didn't want to risk 70

We are now in Rimini ....first time ive been on the coast since leaving Lenny HB before i broke down ...so a good 5 weeks
So im looking forward to seeing the sea.

Parked beside a park in a quiet residential area. About 100 yards from the waterfront.

We looked at that one last year but there were cars parked all the way down the cul de sac and nowhere to park, then we had to reverse out as there was nowhere to turn round. We ended up going a few miles inland and found a sosta with gorgeous views just outside a village on the side of a mountain.

Although we’ve driven through San Marino before we didn‘t stop due to ferry deadlines etc, looks like I will have to factor in a couple of days there next time. Thank you!
