Tam and Toby ~~ Hunting Zorba .....Take two.

We looked at that one last year but there were cars parked all the way down the cul de sac and nowhere to park, then we had to reverse out as there was nowhere to turn round. We ended up going a few miles inland and found a sosta with gorgeous views just outside a village on the side of a mountain.

Although we’ve driven through San Marino before we didn‘t stop due to ferry deadlines etc, looks like I will have to factor in a couple of days there next time. Thank you!
I was pretty lucky ...there was only 3 cars and 1 other motorhome parked in the street so I drove in did a 3 point turn and parked up ...very quiet night and a 2 minute walk to the beach this morning

Had a wee walk on the beach and around the marina this morning ...didnt bother with the town of Rimini

Then a spot of food shopping in lidl ...really have to try another supermarket in italy ...
And then moved on ...now stopped in fano for lunch

Its roasting today ..might have to put my shorts on

Someone told me Rimini is full of Russians on the lash on Summer.
Not a very pleasant place by all accounts
We have been but nothing to go back for, very mediocre seaside town. One thing it is good for though is a tour bus that goes right from behind the station to San Marino.
Pretty regular and not dear and there is a massive Aire on a car park just around the corner from it with 24 hour guards.

Stopped in Fano to have lunch .....after my 2 sandwiches, yogurt , coffee and slice of swiss roll .... thought i better have a walk around to burn that off .
This town apparently dates back to 49bc when Julius ceaser held it .....i kind of expected more old buildings as a result so was a little dissapointed that the ampitheatre etc had been burried...
Has a bit of history to it but not much

Loving that VW camper apart from the paint job.

These dark early nights are crap .....

Parked up for tonight in Ancona ...theres not a lot of choice for parking here so im up the hill overlooking the port in the cathedral car park ....busy little place with folk coming and going to see the view ....and other younger people just parking with their girlfriends and also coming and going lol

Theres 2 german couples with home converted vans up here too...i had my eye on a spot round the back but the buggers pinched it before i got the chance

The benefit of having a co pilot to keep an eye out i guess
Jade is useless at that sort of thing

Nice view though and the police pass by every half hour or so which makes it a bit more secure ....as im hoping to leave van here tomorrow while i walk in to the old town for a looksee.

One of our chickens is an Ancona. It hasn’t laid an egg for about four months. When you see the local chicken expert please ask him what might be the reason for this. Thanks! ;) ;)
if its not laid for four months its three months overdue to be pie filling

Daughter’s family have just bought 5 chickens! Son in law named his “Roast”. Which is as bad as Kate Humble naming her sow Sausage! Sows no longer productive go to be made into sausages!

Mitzimad that's not a very kind thing to say about a poor little chicken😦
It’s on borrowed time. Only reason it’s had a stay of execution is that grandson has got his name on it.;)
