I thought there was good number of Aree di Sosta's in Italy. Are they closed, to expensive, or for some other reason are you not using them. Maybe you are but not clear from your posts. So at the minute im stopped in a very busy carpark near the swimming baths and sports centre.
Logic is that if its busy during the day it should be safe from breakins.
Theres one other Italian motorhome tucked over in the corner whereas ive plonked myself slap bang in the middle
Reminds me of my dad ....i mean he died at 60 , he was an ambulance driver from 1985 -1994 when he had his first heart attack age 54Most of my ADULT life then.. was a schoolboy once also BUSBY.
I tend to use mostly free aires and often just for the services. I Don't like being bunched in beside a lot of other vans if i can avoid it.I thought there was good number of Aree di Sosta's in Italy. I’ve found some decent stuff...vineyards at Nemea just south of Corinth...big wine region...there’s a wine tasting shop there that fills your plastic bottles with lovely wine at about €5.50 a litre..and if you’re clever you can taste a litres worth before you leave for free...some of the wine in the supermarkets is shocking, even stuff at €8 a bottle....had carafe of wine in a restaurant at Gytheio that I wouldn’t pickle onions in ..best wine I’ve found in supermarket is Averino...€2.75 a bottle...It's certainly different.
Hi mate,Pisa is a town of 2 sites,1 leaning and another next to it.The old part of pisa is interesting with good craft beers and food...there 2 years ago..Railway station full of migrants.Take careSupposed to be thunder storms and rain here tonight and tomorrow....just my luck

You won't believe this but we actually had tea in st marks Square with the violinist paradeing about, the works, cost us £25 for two cups of tea, but the atmosphere was out of this world.
Tam do not miss it now you are so close.
I often wonder if they have a separate price list for locals in Venice.Sitting on my own in St Marks while the wife was shopping I had a small can of coke, he delivered it with a recept for €8! Wife comes back and says I will have one, don't sit down I said we are leaving.
That was 2005.

Never been able to bring myself to pay for a gondola, but if we do manage to get there another time it's on my to do list.If you around the back streets prices aren't to bad.
Got pressured to go on a gondola by wife and daughter €70 I think from memory, 15 years later I can hardly remember going in it.
Yep had some good reasonable priced meals in the back streetsIf you around the back streets prices aren't to bad.

Remember sitting in a St Mark's Square cafe - thought hang the expense, only here once, just have a coffee...
Then I noticed the price of a Bellini was only a €1 more...
What a brilliant choice, huge goblet of prosecco, peach liqueur, fresh peach served just as the little quartet started playing... magic.
So nice, we had a second
...better value, methinks, than the rest of the party who had a pizza slice whilst sat on a concrete wall.
Well 2 silver teapots thrown in that makes all the difference. We did have a silver teapot each with more hot water, and milk all in silver, and I'm not complaining as we knew the price before hand.
But the prices seem to get better the further you go from the square, there is even a McDonald's a couple of streets back with near normal prices.
We useually eat on the other side of the Rialto bridge, where it is still fancy but better prices.
Thought someone would say that after I read it againWell 2 silver teapots thrown in that makes all the difference.
Have you still got them?
Judging by the weather right now i dont think i will as its chucking it down now.Probably no good as you have pups, but there's a department store with a cafe on the roof with fab views over the cathedral... and too late.
At least the weather & Covid has reduced the crowds - it was mad when I went
