Well that was an entertaining shock to the system ....i had let jade and milo out for a pee and i was sticking some croissants in the oven and making coffee .....id just put their breakfast out when i heard milo barking so i popped head out the door and gave them a shout and whistle

Milo came charging in like a bullet followed by 2 golden retriever puppies ( large puppies) who proceeded to bounce up on my sofa and then dive in to the dogs breakfast bowls .....i had one in my arms trying to shove it out the door while gently persuading the other with my furry slipper clad foot just as a rather red faced man appeared at the door trying to retrieve them ......dog biscuits everywhere and poor jade feels violated ....

What lovely dogs though ...i had a pet of them when going out for a walk

Man was very embarrassed and full of apologies lol


Had a wee walk around ...theres a lovely crystal clear river right by me ...lots of hikes around here and a cable car that takes you up in to the hills

Quite like these wooden chalets too

Its a lovely fresh morning here ...cold nips the ears but the sun is making a most welcome appearance

Im a lot closer to the italian border than i thought i was ...unless i see something worth stopping for we may well be having lunch in italy

Ive always liked retrievers they seem such happy energetic dogs ....they weren't in long enough to leave any hairs thankfully ...well none i can identify from my own , they were about twice the size of jade but im guessing possibly only 3 -6 months old ...very fluffy and soft.

The german couple have the 2dogs and 3 small kids all under 10 id guess in their motorhome .....rather them than me ha ha

182 is much missed out by many folk who take the tunnel instead.. Really lovely road
If you go through Rovereto there is a free aire at the football stadium.. Water, dump etc

If your heading towards Lake Garda, theres a great free sosta in Brentonico in the monte baldo hills.
Nice town and fabulous views down the valley from the sosta.

Agree with the above about lake Garda area, Malcesine is one of my favourite places anywhere. Plenty to do, including a cable car up,the mountains, paragliding over the lake, and the ferry over to Limone on the opposite side of the lake. Stunning.

We had a wee walk around town before having some lunch ....i have to say its so much more pleasant walking around in the sun ...its a beautiful day today ...snow on the hills in the distance but blue skies and warm sunshine ...
Italy seems very mask conscious with most people wearing them while walking in town ....nice little market with lots of interesting stuff ...i nearly bought an old spinning wheel for mum as she loves things like that but thought i better ask her first and she decided she had nowhere to put it ....im kinda of glad as im not sure i did either

I last filled in Germany at €1.01
Still on 3/4 tank but the first station i passed in italy it was €1.35 but was on major road so will see later

Decided to go east for a bit and up in to the hills

Stopped here to have a look around an old fort but it was all closed up so couldn't get in

Did get a couple of nice pics of it from a bit up the road though.


Then we drove to this old castle ruin that was listed on park4night as an overnight stop ...but too close to the main road and noisy ...so grabbed a photo and left

Drove further east and then up a very steep windy road to this little village Terento where im going to stop for the night.
Just heading out for a look around while the sun is still out.
