Given the fact I was here in Germany on the date given and that I was parked up in trier from the 3rd to the 7th without moving I couldn't have been in a restricted area.

There’s nothing wrong with that jumper, or the photo. However, (and please don’t take offence as none is intended) I am disturbed by the bright blue and white plates you use. They offend my sensibilities, as my old Mum used to say!

So after a spot of lunch i headed for weisskirche to see the old church there .....only a few miles out of town and i come up to roadworks and the road barricaded ....satnav going loopy trying to find an alternative as the germans are bloody great ..they close a road but offer nothing in the way of diversion signs etc ....so i just followed what roads i could ....it made for some interesting driving lol some down narrow country lanes and others just a road through fields but some lovely scenery and we got there in the end

Well it is, in the way of grotesque in my opinion.

I cannot stand this over-ornate style and all the gilding.

I felt the same about St Peter's in Rome and left after a few minutes.

I must be a Puritan.

"Stunning" Praise indeed from you Tam! Going by your photographs you are absolutely right. Strange as looking at the outiside it looks rather plain, going by that, I wouldnt have given it a second glance.
Obviously a case of "not judging a book.

The best one we went was the Frauenkirche in Dresden, I will see if I can find the interior photos, absolutely stunning as is Dresden itself if you are interested in architecture.
