Going to have some lunch and then a walk in to town after

as Figaro says , the weather can change a place dramatically
the pictures were taken 7 days apart & are of the same place
It went from 28deg to 7deg , the vibe had completely changed
I was thinking at the time it’s hard to believe it’s the same place

Oh i know .. but i actually think that place you posted has a charm in both pics ...

I just thought the town looked dull and uninteresting...i actually followed another couple from the stellplatz that had walked in and the had walked back out before me lol.

To be honest googling Augsburg i dont think theres going to be much to see here either .... maybe im just towned out

I am considering leaving the romantic road for now and heading towards lake constance for a change of scenery ...i can then pick up the alpine strasse and follow it back towards salzburg and i will still then see fussen etc .....bit of scenery and holefully drone flying territory

Cool ...ill probably not get to greece till the start of December depending whats to see and do between here and there. Im not expecting tropical but it is as south as spain so im hoping its at least warmer than scotland.
It will certainly be warmer than Scotland but it's not being south that provides the good winter weather,it's being south and west..Syria is further south than Spain and it gets very cold in the winter...Now Crete that's different. You can easily get a ferry from Pyraus,,Fantastic island.BUSBY.

Busby is right about being East brings one into contact with Asian continental winter weather as opposed to the maritime weather further west.

Crete is a big touring area in itself(140 miles long) and would be the warmest place in mid-winter. If I were in Greece starting in Dec I would seriously consider going south to Crete for the worst of the winter and then gradually work back north as the Spring comes. Possibly doing some of the islands on the way because the sea temp keeps them a bit milder and, except for the really high ones, they do not creae much rain.

The ferry to Crete will be a bit expensive, but coming back up you may be able to get a ticket that allows stop-offs in some islands - try Blue Star which serves a lot of Agean islands.

Anyway you are not there yet.

Happy travelling.

Geoff

Jade seemed popular ...but there doesn't seem to be a lot of dogs in germany we've noticed ...but the kids and quite a few adults all seem to make a fuss of her ....she seems to understand German aswell.

OK...i got an email and it looks like a scam to me but I'd like second opinions

Given the fact I was here in Germany on the date given and that I was parked up in trier from the 3rd to the 7th without moving I couldn't have been in a restricted area.

But very weird

Weather looks much better Tam,,BUSBY.

ah I did think it was but initially I thought I'd maybe driven through a green zone or something ...it was the home office bit that threw me and then on checking the date I know I never moved that day

i got one today , no name & no reg number , I must have been in the same place as you 😄

There’s nothing wrong with that jumper, or the photo. However, (and please don’t take offence as none is intended) I am disturbed by the bright blue and white plates you use. They offend my sensibilities, as my old Mum used to say!
Me too, they’re not trendy Scottish hunk are they! Gawd knows what she’ll think if he has a “visitor” for a candlelit dinner.:LOL:(y)(y)
