Went to visit Ludwig's other creation ...linderhof palace ...
First impressions i thought it was going to be bigger ....but its very ornate ...i had to pay parking for this one ...my heart was racing

Glad to see the construction cranes have gone from Linderhoff, they spoilt all my photos last year.

Btw,super pics,what a great part of your trip this is.

Had no choice the parking attendant sprang out of nowhere lol but only €3.40 so not too bad ...this is definitely the nicest part of Germany but they know it and finding overnight parking isnt easy ....most of the carparks have time limits of 8 or 10pm for motorhomes and fines if you ignore them ...the aires are very expensive cheapest ive seen is €17 per night for jist parking and service costs over that ...but there's others as dear as €25 per night.

But ive been lucky to still find somewhere free maybe not the most scenic but only using them to sleep and moving on in morning.

Im planning to do this hike up to a gorge tomorrow so we are parked at the foot of that tonight in a small roadside carpark with no signs so it will do for the night

Grotto still closed at the minute and only an inconsiderate workman with a fiat ducato van spoiled my pics but not too noticeable

Will see beaches when i get to Croatia and greece ....bit short of beaches in Germany
But it was a country i hadn't seen and now i have will i rush back? Probably not but i can now say I've been.
