Well I watched 10- 15 minutes or so but I couldnt watch the whole thing ...the video was interesting kind of but the music isn't for me ....I find it just boring and a noise lol

Im a lyrics type of guy ....I like a good tune but it's generally the lyrics that make me like it ..

There's a few techno dance type tracks out there I like but not many

Moved east to Hanau in the hope of escaping the rain and has worked for the moment at least .... hopefully it stays off till I have my lunch and then we will take a walk either to the old town or the opposite direction to the shlosspark.

Tam get the dark sky weather app mate it’s the best really works a treat and shows you the info you need. It’s not free a few quidditch search dark sky. In app store it’s was a posting by Jim the one who must be obeyed and he loves it. As do I now. A perfect tool for your travels

This is all new ground for me so I didn't want to rush through. It's not cold at least but dull and like Scotland it's either raining or about to rain.

Germany is great, however we do feel as though some places like in Spain are going into hibernation after a poor tourist season. But I must admit I like the german people, a great attitude, a sense of humour and a love of meat in bread..

We used park4night almost exclusively going through France and Italy on the way to Greece, although the new format did take a bit of getting used to and I don’t really like it

what's it like in Greece? Get a move on!

My current view in a bay at the bottom of Lefkada. The temperature is quite cool now at only around 25C in the daytime and we’ve had to start using a thin cover on the bed as well as a sheet.

Yeah I'm not keen on the new format and it no longer gives distances either ...which were never that great but it did give a rough idea .

That weather looks better ...it pissin down here and we got absolutely drenched for pretty much nowt as Hanau pretty boring ...

Well my plan to avoid the rain failed ...got absolutely soaked ....the wurst we have been since we left home ....and was it worth it? ...nah ... Hanau is pants

So the only pics we got are as follows

The plaque beneath it in second pic is the people who were killed in the terror attack here back in February.

Then the goldsmith's house ...Hanau famous for gold and silver

Then the palace front and back with looks a bit like a large stately home to be honest ...poor couple were getting married you can see the bride out the front if you zoom in lol


Not the best parking spot either so just having a coffee then I'm moving on

So I've moved a little north east of Hanau to the town where the brudders grimm grew up .....supposed to be a nice old town and a castle here so will hopefully get a dry day to explore that tomorrow....this is an official Aire but as it's cheap electric all 5 official spaces are full with the ones who need to be tethered ..so I'm in the carpark adjacent to it which is more level anyway and deserted rather than crammed in like a sardine.

re Austria.. Last year we entered Austria from Munich on A8 and picked toll "box" from services just in Austria. No problem and folk very helpful. Did put circa 80Eu on it. The system bleeps at you when running low on credit.. we ended up topping it up on return trip from Slovenia,, and still have circa 70 Eu for the "next" trip to Austria but understand we could mail it all back for credit.
No advice to offer if choose to ignore the system

I think I'm just going to get one before I cross from Germany but I've no intention to use the motorways so hopefully I can find a place to return it for a refund when I leave Austria again.

I think it's mad that you have to buy one even if not using the motorways but then again I also think it's crap I'm paying road tax in the UK for six months when in not there lol ...but thems the breaks as they say.
